markdown Cosmoss in Crisis
On a quieter note, Kate Moss was spotted out and about in London on a recent Wednesday, following the news that her business Cosmoss could potentially be dissolved due to compulsory strike-off proceedings.
51-year-old style legend accessorized her look with extra-large sunnies, a sleek black coat adorned with fur around the collar, and roomy pants with a flared leg.
She completed her look with pearl earrings and a black handbag.
According to recent reports, it appears that Kate is potentially subject to a forced removal from the market due to unpaid bills in connection with her high-end wellness company, Cosmoss.
This week, a complaint was lodged with Companies House against the young brand, which has been operational for less than three years since its establishment. Within the next two months, the supermodel must present the required financial records.
If she doesn’t submit the overdue accounts from the end of last year, there’s a possibility that her business might get removed from the registry, and its properties could be confiscated.

However, an associate insists the accounts will be filed shortly, reports the Mail’s Richard Eden.
In 2022, when Kate unveiled Cosmoss with much excitement, she expressed that it would provide an entryway to ‘harmony, rejuvenation, and affection’.
However, signs of financial distress weren’t new for the wellness company, as it was allegedly in debt to its creditors to the tune of over £405,000 by April the previous year.
TopMob contacted representatives for Kate and Cosmoss for comment.
This skincare company offers 20 herbal tea bags priced at £20, in addition to scented perfumes, moisturizing skin creams, premium items such as a £105 rejuvenating facial oil, and a luxurious £125 Sacred Mist room spray.
On September 1, 2022, as it made its debut, Kate emphasized that Cosmoss was designed for self-care during life’s contemporary travels.
It’s been compared to a UK equivalent of Gwyneth Paltrow’s American company Goop, with Kate being the most recent celebrity to enter the health and wellness industry.
Kate’s beauty line features products crafted from powerful, natural ingredients, divided into three daily routines that aim to harmonize both body and spirit with nature and our internal biological rhythms.

The site explains that these rituals are designed to assist us in synchronizing with natural cycles, providing inner tranquility, personal growth, and facilitating harmony, rejuvenation, and love.
The complete set of the three rituals is priced over £400, and the highly sought-after Golden Nectar serum, famed for its alleged ingredients from the tears of Chios and a resin sourced on the Greek island, retails individually at £105.
The morning routine, enriching your body with ‘vitalizing energy’, amounts to a total of £287. This package comprises a £21 antioxidant ‘morning tea’, a £52 skin cleanser, and a £95 anti-aging facial cream.
2023 saw The Daily Mail disclose that Kate successfully fought a court case against a pharmaceutical corporation concerning the name of her brand, Cosmoss.
In simpler terms, she’s officially protected the name “Cosmoss” for various products like herbal remedies for healing, edible goods, and vitamin/mineral supplements within her recent business endeavor.
According to Richard Eden from The Daily Mail, Kate harbored grand aspirations for the Cosmoss brand.
In 2022, Kate submitted an application to the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) to trademark Cosmoss for a variety of products such as aromatherapy candles, vitamin supplements, teas, magazines, videos, and home furnishings. However, a Danish company named Pharmacosmos disputed her application.
For over half a century, this firm specializing in creating products tailored for individuals suffering from iron deficiency has been operating.

Last year, it was disclosed that the initial objection against Kate’s application was based on potential confusion, however, this opposition has since been withdrawn.
An updated filing at the IPO revealed that Cosmoss had abandoned its plans to trademark iron-deficiency treatment products. This means there would be no conflict with the Danish company.
In March 2024, the brand encountered criticism once more due to Kate claiming she discovered a miraculous cure for eczema, a feat that even leading global scientists have not achieved.
In a single use of her recently purchased Golden Nectar skin oil, she claimed it surprisingly cured an existing skin problem such as eczema or psoriasis, which were previously thought to be incurable.
In a video chat with fashion writer Alessandra Steinherr, she shares a secret: ‘At first, we weren’t aware; but since then, we’ve come to find out something interesting,’ she says, as per the post on the Cosmoss Instagram page.
For individuals like me who have friends suffering from conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, or any type of skin irritations or blemishes, applying this remedy can miraculously make them vanish overnight.
On the contrary, the NHS website indicates that there is no known cure for eczema or psoriasis, two uncomfortable and visibly distressing conditions. Symptoms are typically managed with moisturizers, along with creams and ointments, to alleviate swelling and redness during flare-ups.
Kate faced strong criticism from Professor Sir Stephen Powis, a leading figure at the NHS, concerning allegedly misleading health claims.
Previously, this brand encountered issues with U.S. federal officials regarding proposals to sell a wellness product derived from cannabis.
