Every seven days brings another thrilling adventure in eFootball 2025 for me, and as expected, a fresh Epic pack has been dropped. This pattern has persisted for quite some time now, and the recent arrival of the FC Bayern Munich campaign has introduced an Epic collection featuring Lahm, Van Buyten, and Elber in eFootball 2025. The debate on whether this pack represents good value for money or not is already buzzing within the community, so I’d like to share my thoughts on it here in this review.

This situation resembles a pattern where there are 150 players in a single pack, with three Epic cards among them. Two of these Epic cards possess Show Time abilities, whereas one is just an ordinary Epic card.

Philipp Lahm

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Orchestrator
  • Showtime Skill: Fortress

Lahm cards are typically multi-talented, and this one follows that trend. A look at his profile shows that he can play in various midfield and defensive positions, demonstrating his versatility. Keep in mind that because of his versatility and decent base stats, you’ll want to pay attention to the distribution of progression points.

Lahm embodies the ideal traits of an Orchestrator midfielder, showcasing a graceful touch with the ball, proficient in dribbling, skillful at passing, and adept at dispossessing opponents effortlessly. His ability to control play and secure victorious tackles are crucial aspects he excels in.

I greatly appreciate his defensive strategy, as he tends to move around more than most Orchestrators might. This could be due to his past roles, where “Fullback” attributes were more prominent in his gameplay. Although there are areas that could use improvement, such as heading and physical contact, these skills aren’t critical for the role he’s currently playing.

Which role seems most fitting for him, considering his skills? From what I gather from this card, he excels in various midfield roles. Neglecting to use him in these positions could be detrimental. It might be beneficial to mold him into a versatile CMF/DMF, as this position allows for both offensive and defensive contributions.

Giovanne Elber

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher
  • Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing

In the old PES games, Elber was often met with disapproval when paired with Rummenigge, but playing him individually makes him an exceptional choice. Known as a master poacher, Elber consistently finds himself in the perfect position at crucial moments. His stats back up his skill level effectively.

Elber’s awareness and finishing skills are nearly perfect, making him an exceptional finisher within the penalty area. He moves swiftly and continuously, and his enhanced speed gives him a lethal edge during counter-attacks. While his heading abilities are impressive, they may not fully reflect his true potential as suggested by the statistics.

Beyond conventional boundaries, I find him somewhat underwhelming. Despite his impressive Long-Range Shooting abilities, the force seems insufficient to me. In close quarters, he’s not an ideal pick, so it would be wise to employ a 2-Forward formation with a competent playmaker to support him.

Daniel Van Buyten

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Destroyer

You may be aware of the significant influence this card has had on numerous gamers, and with the introduction of its Epic variant, Van Buyten becomes an even greater threat. The defensive statistics have been made more balanced, there’s a marked increase in jumping ability, noticeable enhancements in speed, and overall, the card has been finely tuned for optimal performance.

Indeed, you won’t find the commonly used 99 Heading and Kicking Power stats with Van Buyten, but rest assured, if you’re seeking a reliable, no-nonsense center-back, he fits the bill perfectly. His impressive defensive prowess extends to solid ground coverage, complemented by his strength and dominance in aerial challenges.

He’s not the quickest defender, so you might consider teaming him with a swifter center back to fill in the gaps. However, with the proper construction, both of these attributes could reach the 80s. Nevertheless, when it comes to airborne conflicts and physical confrontations, he’s a headache for attackers, which makes him a reliable choice.

Best pick from FC Bayern Munchen pack in eFootball 2025

As an avid supporter, I must admit that I was quite excited about the prospect of this package, especially if it included renowned defenders or at least some big-name players to fuel anticipation for the campaign. However, with the current roster, it seems a bit underwhelming due to the lack of star power.

However, upon examining the cards, I notice two outstanding choices in Lahm and Buyten. They both boast impressive statistics, which their performances certainly justify. It wouldn’t be amiss to give a few of these a try, would it? Of course, that’s only if you have some coins available.
