DJ Bliss Ditches Dubai Bling for Music Career: Aussie Tour Teased

DJ Bliss has revealed whether he’ll return to the hit reality series Dubai Bling.

Kamil Aziz, well-known Emirati disc jockey by name, has garnered popularity as viewers’ preferred choice on the flashy Netflix program. He provides exclusive glimpses into the high-society circles of Dubai.

As I shared with Daily Mail Australia yesterday, I subtly suggested that my journey on this beloved show could be nearing its conclusion. After all, every sunset signals a new dawn, and I’m eager to explore what lies beyond the horizon.

According to DJ Bliss, our agreement with Dubai Bling spanned over three seasons, and we’ve recently completed the final one.

For myself, I believe this is as far as I’m willing to go. I’d prefer to take a new path, and concentrate more on my musical pursuits.

The reality TV star admitted filming such an intense show took a toll on him.

‘A show like that really takes a lot of your time, a lot of your energy,’ he explained.

‘Prolonged exposure can negatively affect both your mental wellbeing and everyday routine. Instead, I prefer to channel all my energy towards constructive endeavors, ones that are uplifting, beneficial, and have a significant impact on people’s lives. I strongly believe that music might be the key.’

Now, DJ Bliss is turning his attention to his highly anticipated Australian concert series.

He guarantees a remarkable, once-in-a-lifetime adventure that combines house music with global inspirations, making stops in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast along the way.

‘It’s a new sound that I’ve been working on,’ he said.

My musical style is evolving towards house music, but I’m also incorporating international elements because that reflects my identity. This blend is reminiscent of Dubai—it embodies a duty-free atmosphere, a fusion of numerous cultures.

This world-traveling disc jockey has mingled with several heavyweights in the entertainment sphere, sharing company with artists like Drake, Beyoncé, Swedish House Mafia, and 50 Cent.

Though these experiences molded his professional journey, currently, he’s intensely dedicated to creating music that authentically reflects himself.

‘I want people to feel the influences in my music,’ he explained.

Music is constantly evolving, reaching a point where it can be challenging to categorize genres since various styles intermingle so much. I appreciate everything – the ’80s alternative rock, ’90s R&B and hip-hop, modern dance music, house – it all seems to blend seamlessly into my playlists.

Though DJ Bliss is no longer involved in reality TV, he hasn’t closed the door entirely on screen work – only roles that don’t give him control over his personal storyline.

I’ve been hooked on the thrilling ride that is Dubai Bling, and let me tell you, it’s not just about the bling – it’s about the battles! My long-standing feud with my Aussie co-star Kris Fade has shown me firsthand the trials of treading the reality TV format.

‘I’m not used to not controlling the narrative or the edit of the show,’ he admitted.

I prefer that my story is accurately represented, with me having the ability to contribute to the way I’m depicted.

As for whether he’ll ever reconcile with Kris Fade, DJ Bliss remains open but realistic.

‘It’s been a 10-year back-and-forth,’ he said.

He mentioned: ‘Folks often underestimate its depth. On Dubai Bling, I aimed for a candid discussion, but instead of engaging, he backed off. I was prepared to converse, but the opportunity passed.’

For now, his focus remains firmly on music.

‘I believe that whatever you put 100 per cent into will give you 100 per cent back,’ he said.

Instead, I’ll be handing over the reins of certain ventures to others, while focusing all my energy on my musical pursuits.

Speaking of incorporating some of Dubai’s flair into his Australian shows, here’s what he stated: “I don’t plan out my performances ahead—I let the energy of the audience guide me.

I am aware that Australia has a substantial Arab population, particularly those of Lebanese descent. My intention is to infuse an Arabic flavor into my collections and create an unforgettable experience for them.

On February 28 and March 6, DJ Bliss is set to put on two sold-out shows at Zaffi Sydney, with another performance scheduled for March 1 at Machine Hall as part of Bayti Presents World Sounds event.
