Arc’teryx unveils four innovative designs for its shoe collection, aimed at boosting performance in challenging mountain landscapes: the Norvan LD 4, Vertex Speed, Norvan Nivalis, and Konseal.
Starting in March, the Norvan LD 4 marks the latest addition to the Norvan series. Developed from the LD 3, this updated design boasts a low-profile shape, combining an abrasion-resistant and breathable Matryx® upper with a dual-density midsole at 45C, and a Vibram® Megagrip outsole for a stable, agile run that increases the runner’s trust.
The Vertex Speed shoe, a blend of trail running and mountain climbing footwear, takes its design cues from both. It boasts a multi-terrain outsole designed with various trail types in mind. This innovative shoe incorporates a shock-absorbing midsole, elastic knit gaiters for flexibility, and reinforced TPU layers to ensure durability and protection. The Vertex Speed is set to hit the market in April and will be offered in both high and low versions.
Designed for durability and optimal performance, Konseal is built to handle heavy loads even in the most challenging terrains. It boasts an upgraded heel grip to reduce discomfort and eliminate blisters, making it a comfortable choice. The shoe is set to debut in July, offered in both nubuck leather and GORE-TEX variants.
Designed for cold-weather training and expeditions, the Norvan Nivalis boasts a waterproof construction, incorporating an over-ankle gaiter and GORE-TEX technology that shields against snow and rain, maintaining foot dryness. Slated for release in September, this shoe’s lugs have been strategically designed to offer grip on both mud and snow, and they are compatible with winter running spikes for enhanced performance.
