Joshua Vides is about to unveil an automotive-themed collection, inspired by his recent successful solo exhibition titled “Check Engine Light“. This event, open for five days during Frieze Art Week in LA, displayed three vehicles from brands such as Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Honda, all adorned with Vides’ distinctive illustrative design.
This distinctive 2D artwork, reminiscent of pen and paper, is now featured on a variety of collectible merchandise and apparel. Notable clothing pieces include a sleek black Mercedes-Benz hoodie and a black long-sleeve tee for both Porsche and Honda. Among the collectibles, you’ll find a skate deck, offered in either natural wood or the artist’s signature black and white design. Other items include a 911-shaped ceramic ashtray, assorted logo keychains, and a selection of caps.
Starting at 9:00 am Pacific Standard Time, you can purchase items from the collection directly from the artist’s official website. The exact prices haven’t been disclosed yet, but keep in mind that the first 50 orders will get an extra special treat!
