MOONTON Games has initiated a closed trial for their upcoming 2D Gothic-themed role-playing game, Silver and Scarlet, which is currently being played in China on mobile devices. Earlier, the game underwent testing in Japan and the US, known as Silver and Blood, on September 19, 2024.

In the past, Silver and Scarlet was recognized as Silver and Blood; however, today it’s called that. This swift-moving 2D role-playing game with strategy elements takes place in a medieval Gothic environment, brimming with more than 45 characters, referred to as Vassals. These characters are grouped into four distinct factions, each possessing their own narrative, personality traits, and skillsets.

Instead of the traditional role as vampire hunters, you assume the role of vampires afflicted with melanoma, offering an innovative spin on the storyline. I’m excited for its auto-chess style gameplay, where you strategically arrange your characters on a 3×3 grid prior to engaging in battle.

In this game, you’ll find an immersive experience as you strategize your team composition by incorporating fresh characters or boosting the power of existing ones to tackle adversaries and colossal dragon-like creatures with a vampiric flair. The environment is richly detailed thanks to its Gothic aesthetic, captivating anime character designs, and cinematic cutscenes that bring everything to life.

As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled to share that, starting from February 20, 2025, a small-scale domestic closed beta test for the highly anticipated game Silver and Scarlet kicked off in China. Excitingly, the game has officially established its presence on platforms like Bilibili and Douyin. In fact, it received its version number back in October 2024.
