Zendaya joins Shrek 5: Watch the hilarious first teaser now
Surprisingly, we’ve received a funny sneak peek at the upcoming film, Shrek 5. This new trailer hints that actress Zendaya will be traveling to Far Far Away during the holiday season of next year.
In a highly anticipated upcoming film, Zendaya will portray the character of Felicia, the adult daughter of Shrek and Fiona, a role we last saw in the Halloween TV special “Scared Shrekless.
In the upcoming film “Shrek 5,” set to hit theaters this coming Christmas, Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, and Eddie Murphy reunite for another round of screen time together.

After the announcement of the cast, the Shrek’s official X account re-emerged and shared a 2017 post by Zendaya that humorously stated: “I watch Shrek far too frequently as an adult.
Celebrities, they’re just like us.
It’s still unclear what the plot of Shrek 5 might entail, however, it is confirmed that the film will be helmed by directors Walt Dohrn and Conrad Vernon in collaboration with Brad Ableson.
Dohrn penned both “Shrek 2” and “Shrek the Third,” served as head of story for “Shrek Forever After,” and lent his voice to Rumpelstiltskin, whereas Vernon took on directorial duties for “Shrek 2” and provides the voice for the Gingerbread Man in the series.
In July 2024, it was officially confirmed that there will be Shrek 5, which came after the conclusion of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. This hinted at a fifth movie featuring Puss, Kitty Softpaws, and Perrito embarking on an adventure to Far Far Away.
Initially planned for a cinema release in July 2026, it has since been moved to its current December debut.
2023 promises an exciting time for Zendaya enthusiasts, as she will share the screen with Tom Holland not only in Spider-Man 4 but also in Christopher Nolan’s film adaptation of The Odyssey.
Shrek 5 is released in cinemas on December 23, 2026.
