GMB viewers absolutely baffled by “bonkers” announcement live on-air
This morning’s British viewers are puzzled following an unusual declaration during the early-morning program.
Richard Arnold broadcasted a real-time feed straight from the town of Peppatown, home to the beloved children’s cartoon series Peppa Pig, to make an exclusive statement by Mummy Pig.
In simpler terms, the cartoon swine announced that there would be a new addition to the family consisting of Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Peppa, and George, as the character is expecting a baby.
In my gaming world, let me spill some exciting news! Our gaming crew just got a new member on the way, ’cause guess what? Yep, you heard it right, we’re welcoming another teammate to our family! I couldn’t help but share this joy with all of you, as Mummy Pig held up an adorable scan picture – it’s our little piglet in there!
I’m expecting a baby this coming summer, and everyone is thrilled… We’re feeling a bit swamped at the idea of managing three kids aged under five, but overall, we’re primarily ecstatic about it!
Inquired whether they had told Peppa and George about the news, Mummy Pig responded: “Indeed, it wasn’t easy to keep it hidden for too long. Peppa sensed something was amiss, being so inquisitive – we couldn’t wait any longer before letting her in on it!
They’ve experienced some moments of uncertainty and anxiety, but overall, they’re incredibly thrilled! Constantly, they inquire about the size of the baby, its due date, if it enjoys playing in dirty puddles or exploring dinosaurs… The curiosity never fades away!
In this part of the surreal night vision, Mummy Pig communicated to Richard that they were still undecided about the name for their third piglet. Richard proposed two names: one being Richard, and the other honoring Kate Garraway.
Viewers were left baffled by the interview, taking to social media to share their bewilderment.
Why on earth am I seeing Peppa Pig’s mom share her pregnancy news on a nationwide news show at 7:30 in the morning?” This version maintains the original meaning and tone while using more common, easy-to-read language.
It’s quite unusual, even surprising, to have a cartoon character as a guest on a morning news show. Still, I found myself watching it and managing a little chuckle.
A bystander found it astonishingly impressive that they somehow made an animated show appear live during morning television broadcasts.
“This has to make your end of year news compilation surely!” another viewer commented.
Many viewers have been curious about the show’s chronology, with one user questioning: “It seems Mummy Pig is pregnant. I understand it’s a cartoon, but isn’t Peppa at least 19 years old now? Has she remained the same age throughout the series?
Finding out that Mummy Pig is pregnant in Peppa Pig wasn’t something I expected to happen by the year 2025, and it seems many others share this feeling.
In the grand finale of our current Peppa Pig season, airing on Mother’s Day (March 30), I’ll be sharing some exciting news – Mummy Pig is expecting!
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1, ITVX, STV & STV Player.
