Karina Irby Stuns in Pink Bikini Amid Backlash Over $218 Sleepwear Line!

On Thursday, Karina Irby turned heads with her stunning appearance, flaunting her physique in a vibrant pink bikini from her own brand, Moana Swimwear.

A body-positive social media personality, aged 35, kneeled on a beach towel amidst the sand, taking photos of herself enjoying a meal of spaghetti to share on Instagram.

Under the warm sunlight, the radiant woman donned a high-waisted bikini and accessorized it with a straw “cowgirl” hat.

One photo of her day out saw Karina poking out her tongue as she held up her carb-heavy meal.

In the second photo, she’s seen enjoying a bite of spaghetti, her eyes closed in a content smile.

Karina titled her post: ‘Here’s a real query… Which of these piques your curiosity the most? Spaghetti, a new swimsuit, or a cowgirl hat?’

After Karina unveiled a new brand that some of her devoted fans considered garishly cheap and exorbitantly priced, she subsequently encountered their displeasure.

Last week, the entrepreneur behind both the famous bikini line and OnlyFans debuted Moana Smile Club – an eagerly anticipated expansion of her thriving Moana Bikini brand, focusing on sleepwear and activewear.

The “comfort-for-skin” pajama assortment she offers ranges from $158 to $218, a price that Karina’s audience has noted is quite expensive for most Australians.

A follower expressed their initial enthusiasm, but became disheartened upon discovering that the pair of pants in Karina’s announcement were priced at $80, leaving them feeling dejected.

Karina argued that the price was justified by stating, “The cost reflects the value,” a statement she has since removed.

She noted that these items have undergone significant refinement, and interestingly enough, they are reasonably priced when compared to top-tier brands.

A large number of Karina’s 1.1 million Instagram fans expressed curiosity in her reasoning behind such a high price, posting their thoughts in the comment section.

‘They look tacky, I wouldn’t even buy these if they were at Kmart,’ one wrote. 

‘Another disenchanted fan expressed their disappointment, stating that while they were thrilled, they couldn’t rationalize spending $200 on a set of pajamas to wear to bed.’

‘More expensive than Peter Alexander full price and can easily get theirs on sale.’ 

At this moment, ‘Pyjama King’ Peter Alexander offers over a baker’s dozen of their printed short pyjamas at a discounted rate of $35, which represents a 50% reduction from their regular price of $59 in the high-end sleepwear sector.

As a dedicated enthusiast, I couldn’t help but notice that the freshly launched Moana Smile website seems to be missing some crucial details about their new pyjamas. Specifically, it appears there’s no information regarding the fabric composition and the manufacturing location of these comfy sleepwear pieces. It would be great if they could provide such details for us fellow fans!

‘This first-time buyer was really looking forward to buying these pajamas, but found it hard to accept the $218 price tag. Additionally, they were curious about what materials the pajamas are made of, as this information wasn’t clearly displayed on the website.’

Karina revised all product descriptions to clearly indicate that the pyjamas are comprised of 93% Lyocell, a hypoallergenic material, and 7% spandex.

Lyocell is a semi-synthetic fabric commonly used as a sustainable substitute for cotton or silk. 

The primary substance is synthesized through the process of dissolving fibers derived primarily from eucalyptus, oak, and birch tree bark.

Lyocell is 50 per cent more absorbent than cotton. 

The manufacturing process is based on cultivating and harvesting eucalyptus trees, which are subsequently transformed into fiber.

In my professional opinion, let me shed some light on an aspect that Karina may have overlooked. You see, compared to other natural materials like cotton, this fabric can be quite pricey. It’s always essential to consider the cost factor when making purchasing decisions for a sustainable lifestyle.

The influencer has actively addressed all positive remarks made on the post, yet she’s chosen to respond selectively to questions posed by her followers.
