Danny Dyer’s Shocking New Career Move
This week, Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani were busy at work filming episodes for their new Sky series titled “The Dyers Caravan Park” on the Isle of Sheppey, located in Kent.
The pair consisting of a father and daughter are running and financing their very own caravan site, drawing inspiration from the memorable childhood trips of popular EastEnders actor, Danny.
Upon reaching the park, Danny (aged 47) and Dani (aged 28) switched their attire to their job-specific clothing, which included tracksuit pants and navy jackets. Then, they began cutting the grass.
On set, there was a lighthearted incident as Danny found himself struggling with his lawn mower, which became entangled in dense, soggy grass and soil. Yet, Dani managed to keep going and effectively finished mowing the field.
The pair looked in good spirits as they chatted with members of the crew between filming scenes.
Recently, Danny shared about his unexpected foray into a new professional field, apart from acting, expressing that the farming endeavors of Jeremy Clarkson had sparked his inspiration.
In a recent appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, Danny revealed his plans to put money towards purchasing a campground or mobile home park.
As a child, I spent my holidays at caravan sites located on Canvey Island. To this day, the idea of caravans evokes a strong sense of nostalgia within me.
Since I’ve noticed that Jeremy Clarkson is making progress with his farm, I plan to set up a caravan site myself and revive the tradition of British vacations.
The series will see the fan favourite pair take on the project on the Isle Of Sheppey.
In the promo for the latest series, Danny playfully remarked, “Clarkson now has his farm. While Richard Hammond is busy tinkering away at his workshop.
If Jamie Oliver can transform school lunches, it makes me yearn for the return of the traditional caravan holidays. I wonder why I can’t rejuvenate the essence of a British vacation?
When Dani inquired about his plan, he replied: “I could put my face onto it, invest some money into it, and attempt to revamp its popularity.
‘It could be a complete f*****g failure and I could be talking complete f****g b****s.’
He concluded: ‘Long live the f*****g caravan’.
In a heartfelt moment during the show, I couldn’t help but feel a pang as Danny shared his feelings about potentially becoming a grandfather. He confided that his daughter, Dani, is struggling under the weight of her responsibilities, feeling ‘burdened’ and ‘drained.’
He told host Jonathan: ‘I’ve got three. We call them ‘the terribles’ because they terrorise you.
‘They’re a gift. My Dani is f***ed. She’s exhausted – three kids under four. They terrorise me.
In my professional opinion, I find myself saying, “Dan, let’s slow down a bit.” They’re moving at breakneck speed. It seems like they’re not just rushing through life, but intent on leaving a trail of chaos behind them.
Dani, 28, gave birth to son Santiago, with her former partner Sammy Kimmence in 2021.
Two years on, she joyously added twin girls Summer and Star to her family, becoming a mother of two, alongside her partner Jarrod Bowen, in 2023.
In another part of the program, the actor discussed the time when he would have to hand his daughter over to her fiancé Jarrod during their wedding ceremony.
He stated: “Giving your daughter away is quite an unusual concept, it doesn’t sit well with me. However, if you must give her away, consider giving her to the captain of West Ham! It’s truly remarkable.
Speaking highly of his future son-in-law, he went on: ‘He is an incredibly modest, intelligent, and handsome man who deeply admires the ground she treads upon.’
In a heart-pounding moment, he reached out to me over the phone, proposing with a voice that brought me close to shedding tears. Yet, I tried my best to maintain my composure, acting as if I were anything but moved.
