Kate Moss’ Cosmoss Brand Faces Closure Just Years After Glamorous Launch!

Due to unpaid bills, Kate Moss‘ high-end wellness brand, Cosmoss, is at risk of being automatically dissolved, which has occurred less than three years since its establishment.

The brand in question had a document submitted against it at Companies House this week, and the renowned supermodel, aged 51, now has a period of approximately two months to present the required financial data.

Should she neglect to submit the overdue accounts from the previous year, there’s a possibility that her business may be removed from the registry, leading to the confiscation of its possessions.

However, an associate insists the accounts will be filed shortly, reports the Mail’s Richard Eden.

In the year 2022, when Kate unveiled Cosmoss with much excitement, she expressed that it would serve as an entryway for ‘harmony, rejuvenation, and affection’.

However, it appears that the wellness company had financial issues even before, as reports suggest they owed lenders over £405,000 back in April of the previous year.

TopMob has contacted representatives for Kate and Cosmoss for comment. 

This skincare company offers 20 herbal tea bags priced at £20, along with fragrances and moisturizers – featuring a rejuvenating face oil for £105 and a luxurious room spray called the Sacred Mist, available for £125.

On its debut on September 1, 2022, Kate asserted that Cosmoss was designed as a self-care solution tailored for contemporary life’s travels.

As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but draw comparisons between the emergence of her venture and the American empire built by none other than Gwyneth Paltrow through Goop. In the latest turn of events, she’s diving headfirst into the wellness market, just like a British queen bee taking the throne.

Kate’s beauty line features products made from powerful, natural ingredients that are organized into three daily routines. These routines aim to harmonize body, mind, and spirit with nature, as well as align with our internal biological rhythms (circadian cycles).

The site explains that these rituals help us synchronize with nature’s pace, fostering inner tranquility, personal growth, and providing access to harmony, rejuvenation, and affection.

Instead of spending over £400 for all three rituals, you would only need to set aside £105 for the highly sought-after Golden Nectar serum, famed for its alleged ingredients, the tears of Chios plant resin, produced uniquely on a Greek island.

The morning routine, enriching your body with ‘beneficial vitality’, amounts to a grand total of £287. This price incorporates a £21 antioxidant ‘morning tea’, a £52 cleanser, and a £95 anti-aging face cream.

2023 saw Kate emerge victorious in a court case against a pharmaceutical company regarding the naming rights for her business, Cosmoss, as reported by The Daily Mail.

In simpler terms, she’s protected the name “Cosmoss” for various products like herbal remedies for medical uses, along with food and vitamin supplements, in her most recent business endeavor.

According to Richard Eden from The Daily Mail, Kate harbored grand aspirations for the Cosmoss brand at that point in time.

In the year 2022, Kate submitted an application to the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) for trademarking “Cosmoss”, covering a range of items such as aromatherapy candles, vitamin supplements, teas, magazines, videos, and home furnishings. However, Danish company Pharmacosmos contested her application.

The business that specializes in creating items for people suffering from iron deficiency has been operating for over half a century.

Last year, it was disclosed that the initial objection raised due to potential confusion had been withdrawn in relation to Kate’s application.

At the Initial Public Offering (IPO), it was disclosed that Cosmoss had decided against registering products designed to address iron deficiency. This means there would be no potential conflict with the Danish company in this area.

In March 2024, the brand encountered another wave of criticism as Kate claimed triumph over global leading scientists by discovering a miraculous remedy for eczema.

Using just a single application, she noted that her freshly-acquired £105 Golden Nectar skin oil miraculously cleared up eczema or the seemingly incurable skin condition, psoriasis, right away.

In her chat with fashion writer Alessandra Steinherr, as seen on Cosmoss’s Instagram, she shares this secret: ‘We didn’t realize it at the time we created it; however, we found out about it later on.’
