The 50-year-old actor from Milltown, New Jersey, shared a selfie on Instagram Wednesday, explaining he’s staying active with work while he waits for his next role in Hollywood.

Former child actor Pintauro, known for playing Jonathan Bower throughout the show’s eight seasons, shared a selfie with his almost 27,000 followers, jokingly captioning it ‘Working hard while “not working.”‘

Things have been really quiet in the entertainment industry lately, so like many people, I’ve been taking whatever jobs are available while also working towards my long-term career goals.

Actor Pintauro, known for his role on the 1980s sitcom alongside Tony Danza, Judith Light, Alyssa Milano, and the late Katherine Helmond, recently shared that he delivered 38 packages in a single day.

The actor, known for his role as Tad Trenton in the 1983 film Cujo, explained that it’s perfectly acceptable to keep working and earning a living while still pursuing opportunities in the entertainment industry.

A combination of limited job opportunities and expensive housing costs was forcing performers and theater productions to leave the city.

States like New Mexico, Illinois, Georgia, and Louisiana are offering tax breaks to attract movie and television studios, which is cutting into Hollywood’s profits.

With more people and businesses leaving the area, Los Angeles studios are now renting space to social media influencers to make up for lost revenue, the report says.
