I’m Concerned for Her Safety!

Gizelle Bryant broke her silence on her costar Karen Huger’s jail sentence in her DUI case.

54-year-old Bryant expressed her feelings about her co-star from The Real Housewives of Potomac being handed a jail sentence following their court appearance on Wednesday.

61-year-old Huger received a prison sentence of two years, with one year being postponed. This means she will serve one full year in prison following her conviction for DUI.

Shortly following the imprisonment of her long-standing rival, who is planning a return, Bryant expressed being taken aback during her Gizelle 21 Shady Questions Live event held at City Winery.

‘This just happened today,’ she said, per Us Weekly. ‘I do not have her wigs. I am concerned.’

She added: ‘In all seriousness, I am concerned for her safety. Karen ain’t cut out for jail.’

She said she wishes her costar the best following her sentencing.

‘I pray that she’s OK and that the lord is with her,’ she added.

Earlier in the day, Huger received her sentencing during a hearing in Montgomery County, Maryland.

She has 30 days to file an appeal. During the hearing, she was reportedly overcome with emotions.

As reported by the Baltimore Banner, she expressed to the judge: “I now comprehend more fully the harsh truth that when one is at the wheel of a car, they are not merely driving for their own benefit.

Huger, an original cast member on RHOP, went on to say: “I feel it’s my duty to ensure that my fellow community members can reach their destinations safely.

Hugen was found guilty of driving under the influence in December 2024.

During the court hearing, Judge Terrence McGann pointed out that Huger had accumulated a total of four traffic offenses since the year 2006.

At the hearing, Judge Terrence McGann mentioned that Huger has been issued four driving citations since 2006.

In court, Judge Terrence McGann highlighted that Huger had received a total of four traffic tickets since 2006.

The judge pondered, “Could it be true that she’s been drunk behind the wheel just four times over the past 17 years, or could it instead be that she’s had a remarkable streak of good luck and her intoxication has often gone unnoticed?

In March 2024, Huger was found guilty on five counts: driving under the influence, reckless driving, exceeding the speed limit without control, and failing to inform authorities about a change of address after she collided with her 2017 Maserati.

Before her sentencing, Huger’s legal team and she had been advocating for a rehabilitative approach instead of imprisonment.

Last month, instead of attending RHOP’s season nine reunion, she chose to admit herself into a rehabilitation center for treatment.
