MAFS Star Eliot Opens Up on Bed Swapping Rumors and Wife Veronica’s Secret Meeting
On “Married at First Sight,” Eliot Donovan has disclosed details about his relationship with bride Rhi Disljenkovic, addressing rumors surrounding their alleged bed-sharing incidents.
In an upcoming episode of their reality show, the 35-year-old business owner and the 34-year-old account manager are expected to stir things up. There’s talk that they shared a bed during the partner swap, although Eliot insists he slept on the couch instead.
Daily Mail Australia reports that Jacqui Burfoot is believed to have revealed the secret, leading to a stir both in front of and behind the camera.
Though he didn’t address the rumors regarding the impending disaster head-on, Eliot labeled the leak as “malicious,” asserting that its purpose was to cause harm.
He maintained that every aspect of the forthcoming exchange, where he momentarily partnered with Rhi, was transparent and honest, ensuring everyone was kept informed.

However, he admitted he would feel ‘pretty silly’ if she had been faking it.
Instead, he shifted the blame onto her criticism about his difficulty in opening up, citing a secret meeting with Lauren that had taken him off guard several weeks prior.
He expressed that he was thoroughly perplexed throughout the entire situation, as the conversation seemed contrived to him and it appeared as if she had already formed an opinion about him prior to their discussion even starting.
He mentioned that his wife exhibited varying behavior when not in front of the cameras, stating she transformed into an entirely distinct individual during their honeymoon.
On a Tuesday, Veronica angrily left her partner Eliot following their completion of the Expert Crash Course, which aimed to expedite the development of new relationships.
After speaking with Eliot’s ex-wife, Lauren Dunn, the personal trainer found herself harboring several worries about Eliot, as Lauren labeled him as ‘self-centered’.
The pair encountered a challenge next, where they had to compose a Letter of Confession, sharing with each other their most impactful relationship or life event in writing.
Eliot expressed, as they both started writing their secrets down, that he sensed Veronica desired openness or honesty.

After that, Eliot proceeded to share the information contained within his confession letter, where he recounted how his sister had slipped into a diabetic coma at the age of nine.

Yet, Eliot’s confession was met with dissatisfaction by Veronica, as she argued that the narrative didn’t provide much insight into Eliot.

It’s clear that he has a mother who cries, a sister with diabetes, and a father who appears to be emotionally reserved or stoic.
I proceeded by stating, “I believe he lacks the depth to introspect deeply or perceive his life beyond its superficial aspects. He seems unable to offer me anything profound.
After completing the task, a noticeable chill settled in the apartment, escalating swiftly when Eliot questioned his bride about her upset feelings.
Reinforcing her previous statements, Veronica explained: ‘The narrative centers around a distressing incident that impacted another individual. You haven’t shared how you personally felt regarding the occurrence.’
Eliot expressed his discontent as follows: “I’ve just revealed something very intimate to me that significantly shaped my life, but you dismissing it as insufficient is unacceptable.
It appears that Veronica did not seem affected by Eliot’s words, as she quickly retorted, expressing her disinterest in engaging in a discussion with her future spouse.
She expressed that she feels you’re not paying attention to what she’s saying, so the discussion seems to have reached an end. She appears to be finished with the conversation.
With that, Veronica proceeded to pack a bag and prepare to leave the apartment.
Eliot asked if Veronica was planning to go somewhere, to which she responded by implying it was obvious and then leaving angrily.
In the subsequent part of the episode, she came back to discuss the issue further on the couch, yet it seems that the harm has already been inflicted as the dialogue once more turned contentious, escalating into another disagreement, leading to Veronica leaving angrily again.
‘I’ve had enough. Good luck Eliot,’ she said as she left the room.
