‘She knows exactly what her father did’: Why Paris Jackson now BELIEVES allegations against her dad. How she got close to family of alleged victims… and Michael’s disturbing, newly-unearthed handwritten note

Tonight in Berlin, Jaafar Jackson – Michael Jackson’s nephew and the star of the new movie ‘Michael’ – will attend the world premiere with his father, Jermaine Jackson, and walk the red carpet.

Oh my gosh, you guys, they’re calling it a global fan celebration and I’m already losing it! Seriously, they’re setting up a whole pop-up exhibit just for us! And get this – we’ll actually get to hear the cast and crew talk about the movie! Plus, they’re promising behind-the-scenes footage… it’s going to be everything we’ve ever dreamed of, honestly. I can’t even breathe thinking about it!

The movie, which cost $150 million to make, is expected to draw large crowds when it comes out on April 22nd.

The 130-minute film, ending with the release of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ at the height of his career, is expected to be a major cultural moment and earn billions of dollars in theaters. Jackson’s incredibly loyal and widespread fanbase will almost certainly ensure its success.

Official stories about the creation of this project will likely leave out significant and troubling accusations. Because of these accusations, Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, who currently lives in Los Angeles, won’t be attending events in Berlin or the premiere in Los Angeles on April 20th.

The film, intended to solidify Michael Jackson’s reputation as a musical icon, has unfortunately been overshadowed by serious accusations regarding his personal life and finances. It now faces the risk of being eclipsed by a rising number of disturbing lawsuits.

It was revealed last year that a significant portion of the film – at least a third – had to be cut because it inaccurately portrayed the 1993 sexual abuse allegations made by the family of Jordy Chandler.

The Jackson estate’s lawyers, who financed and created the film, were told they were still bound by a confidentiality agreement concerning the claims made against Jackson – an agreement that remained in effect even after his passing.

It was a really difficult time for everyone involved. Things quickly became incredibly expensive, with reports saying they spent around $50 million on reshoots – though the filmmakers said it was closer to $15 million. They ended up completely rewriting the film, and a whole section – apparently focused on accusations against Michael – was cut entirely. They even scrapped all the footage filmed at Neverland Ranch, and the release date was pushed back a full year. As a long-time fan, it was heartbreaking to see the project struggle like that.

Lionsgate is hoping to make a second film, and it might include some content from Jackson’s later work. However, the film will leave out the accusations of abuse that led to Jackson withdrawing from public life in his final years.

New accusations of sexual abuse against the singer have surfaced, with the Cascio family claiming he abused four of their five children. They refer to the children as the “Applehead Gang.”

The claims emerged after the now-grown children saw the 2019 documentary, Leaving Neverland.

The documentary featured Wade Robson and James Safechuck sharing their experiences of being manipulated and abused by Michael Jackson when they were children. It also detailed how they and their families traveled the world with the superstar during his most famous years.

The Cascio children first met Michael Jackson through their father, who worked at a New York hotel where Jackson stayed. They later discovered they had all experienced similar abuse, including sexual assault, but had kept it hidden from each other, reportedly because Jackson told them to.

As a longtime supporter, I’ve been absolutely devastated by the recent allegations. It’s come to light that a formal complaint has been filed in California, not just against Michael’s estate, but against everyone who worked with him – those who allegedly allowed this abuse to happen. The details are horrifying; apparently, he would offer them alcohol and then use secret phrases – like saying ‘going to Disneyland’ – as a signal for terrible acts. It’s just heartbreaking and incredibly difficult to process.

This week, disturbing photos surfaced showing Michael Jackson holding two of the Cascio children, Dominic and Aldo.

A handwritten note from Jackson to the family has also surfaced, urging them to dismiss the negative stories appearing in the press as false. Jackson’s estate’s lawyers strongly deny any misconduct and claim the current accusations are simply an attempt to extort money.

Paris Jackson is taking further legal action against her father’s estate. While she’s already received around $65 million from it, she believes the lawyers who managed the estate for 16 years may have charged excessive fees and taken inappropriate payments. She’s also questioning why they continue to be involved years after Michael Jackson’s death. This dispute may be just one of several challenges between Paris and the estate. Many remember her heartfelt tribute to her father at his 2009 funeral, where she called him ‘the best Daddy ever’.

She shared how much she loved her father, describing him as the best a person could ask for. Overcome with emotion, she then broke down in tears, finding comfort in a hug from her aunt, Janet Jackson.

However that adulation has apparently given way to something more ‘complicated’.

Paris has consistently maintained her belief that her father, whom she describes as kind-hearted, is incapable of sexual abuse, and she has dismissed any such claims as false.

I’ve been following Paris Cascio’s story for a long time, and it’s heartbreaking to share this. It seems she’s really struggling with some awful revelations. People close to her have told me that she now believes the accusations against her father – that he was a child predator – are probably true. It’s a devastating realization for her, and honestly, it’s incredibly sad to see.

According to a source, Paris Jackson will share her story publicly when she feels prepared. She’s maintained a relationship with the Cascio family, particularly with their mother, Connie, and has had open and honest conversations with them over the years. The source says these conversations have given Paris a clear understanding of her father’s actions.

We’ll hear an official announcement from Paris eventually, but the timing will be decided by them.

People say she feels a connection to the Cascio family, having known them since childhood, but their potential success in a claim against her could cost her a lot of money. However, those close to her suggest this is a simplistic view of a difficult situation. They indicate she hasn’t shared any belief that her father may have been abusive, and doesn’t plan to, and describe her feelings about him and his reputation as deeply personal and complex.

I’ve noticed a big change with a certain celebrity lately – she’s been removing tattoos connected to a past relationship. She had a tattoo of his initials on her finger back in 2016, but it’s now covered up with a different design. Even more strikingly, a large portrait of him on her arm – taken from his ‘Dangerous’ album cover – now has a visible scar running across it, and it appears to be a result of self-harm. It’s a really sad situation, and a visible sign of a difficult time.

Following the release of the Leaving Neverland documentary in 2019, Paris Jackson stated she had nothing further to add to the discussions surrounding the allegations. This contrasts sharply with a strong defense of her father’s innocence.

Last summer, Paris unexpectedly stepped back from the planned Michael Jackson biopic.

She shared that she provided feedback on an early version of a script, pointing out parts that felt untrue or problematic. When the writers didn’t incorporate her suggestions, she decided to disengage from the project, stating it wasn’t her responsibility to fix. She ended with a wish for good luck to those involved.

She explained further on Instagram that she decided to step away and let the project unfold on its own, as it wasn’t hers to control. She’d remained quiet until now because she believed her fans would ultimately be pleased with the outcome.

A large part of the movie will especially appeal to a particular group of my dad’s fans who are deeply invested in the fantasy elements, and they’re going to enjoy it.

She felt the film’s portrayal of events, specifically regarding the accusations against Chandler, didn’t match her understanding of what happened.

She continued, explaining that the story being told was being manipulated and contained many inaccuracies and outright lies. She stated she wasn’t comfortable with it and asked to be excluded from it, adding, ‘You all go ahead and enjoy it if you want.’

Paris Jackson was born in 1998 and is the second of Michael Jackson’s three children. Her birth mother, Debbie Rowe, had an agreement with Jackson that granted him full custody of Paris and her older brother, Prince.

He and Rowe were married for two years. The identity of the surrogate mother for their youngest son, Blanket (also known as Bigi), remains unknown.

During her childhood, Paris and her siblings often wore masks in public to hide their faces.

Following Michael Jackson’s death from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol – which was administered by his doctor, Conrad Murray – his children went to live with their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and their uncle, Tito Jackson.

Paris Hilton went to the Buckley School, a private school in Sherman Oaks, California, but later moved to a boarding school. In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, she revealed she was sexually assaulted at age 14 and struggled with suicidal thoughts stemming from feelings of self-loathing. Despite these difficulties, she continued to admire her father, stating he had always brought her happiness.

Following similar claims made in Paris Hilton’s documentary, This Is Paris, she revealed in October 2020 that she and other students experienced significant abuse while attending a therapeutic boarding school in Utah.

Having also attended a behavioral boarding school as a teenager and later being diagnosed with PTSD due to the experience – and still dealing with nightmares and trust issues – Jackson expressed her support for Paris Hilton and other survivors who have come forward.

I’m still close with some of the girls I went to boarding school with, and we all share similar struggles – PTSD, nightmares, and difficulty trusting others. What we experienced was abusive, and it’s time to address it, starting with Provo [Hilton’s school] and then looking at other institutions like it.

She recently revealed her struggles with past drug use, which caused a hole to develop in her nasal septum – large enough for a strand of spaghetti to fit through. Last January, she shared that she had been sober from heroin and alcohol for five years and expressed her gratitude for her recovery.

Hi, I’m pk (Paris Katherine). I used to struggle with alcohol and heroin addiction, but today I’m celebrating five years of being clean and sober. I’m incredibly grateful for this milestone – gratitude doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel.

She explained that her sobriety is what allows her to fully experience life’s joys and sorrows. She’s able to create music, cherish her pets, feel both happiness and heartbreak, grieve losses, laugh, dance, and trust others. She appreciates simple pleasures, like the warmth of the sun, and recognizes that life continues regardless of her circumstances, but now she’s present and engaged in it.

She’s both a model and a musician, and she was previously engaged to music producer Justin Long before their split in July 2025. That same month, she also began a legal case against the lawyers managing her late father’s finances, questioning unusual payments, including charges for time her lawyers didn’t actually work.

Earlier this month, the administrators of Michael Jackson’s estate, John Branca and John McClain, stated that Prince, 29, and Bigi, 24, had rejected an agreement they had reached.

This week, the executors announced they’ve reached an agreement, largely thanks to the work of Bigi Jackson’s lawyer. That lawyer communicated that he was speaking for all three of Michael Jackson’s children and their legal teams regarding the matter.

However, Paris’s lawyers later stated they didn’t agree to the terms. They’ve now submitted a new set of demands that the estate claims are significantly different from what everyone thought had been decided just a week before.

According to someone familiar with the situation, Paris Jackson has been subjected to a harmful and unfair attack ever since she raised concerns about the handling of her father’s estate by those in charge and their legal team.

The lawyers are reportedly using the Jackson family’s own funds to criticize and undermine her simply because she’s asking for clear and honest handling of the family’s money.

According to the source, there was never a viable agreement offered by anyone that could have resolved the issues between Paris and the estate’s executors. Any proposed deals included so many exceptions and weaknesses that they simply wouldn’t have worked. These demands would have essentially allowed the executors and their lawyers to continue working without facing any consequences for their actions.

The three siblings mostly live independent lives. Sometimes their lawyers present joint documents in the lawsuit, but at other times, they each act on their own.

The couple last appeared together publicly in March 2024 at the London premiere of MJ The Musical. Prior to that, they were seen together in 2022 at the New York opening of the same show.

Given the circumstances, nobody is expecting an encore.
