Paris Jackson Shows Off Her Smiles Post-Engagement & Sobriety
It seems that Paris Jackson is still extremely joyful following her recent engagement to music producer Justin Long.
Outside a recording studio in Los Angeles this week, the Other Spring star beamed broadly, having been busy collaborating with songwriter and producer Linda Perry on her forthcoming new album.
Besides casually flaunting her engagement ring, she also offered a sneak peek as she ventured outside for a meal pickup from Erewhon Market, maintaining an effortlessly stylish appearance.
As a devotee sticking to my bohemian vibe, I donned vintage, flared blue denims paired with a black tank top, which displayed the intricate tapestry of tattoos adorning my arms.
In a casual and readable manner: The only daughter of the famous singer Michael Jackson, adorned her look with a pair of beige open-toe sandals, a collection of rings and bracelets, and let her long, blonde hair cascade down past her shoulders, parted in the middle.
Meanwhile, while she’s been busy with the next release following her 2020 debut album, the artist-composer recently announced her engagement with Long in December.

Six weeks ago, a quick trip outside the studio was taken by her, following a surprising confession about her past struggles with heroin addiction and alcoholism that left many of her fans and followers in shock.
On January 7th, the 26-year-old chose that day to publicly admit something significant, as she celebrated her sobriety with a powerful post on Instagram.
She wrote, “Hi, I’m PK, and I used to struggle with alcohol and heroin addiction. Today, I celebrate 5 years of being clean and sober from all drugs and alcohol. Words like ‘thankful’ don’t quite capture my feelings. Gratitude barely scratches the surface. It’s because I’m sober that I get to smile today.
‘I have the privilege of creating music. I get to enjoy the happiness of being with my dogs and cat. I get to endure the full spectrum of heartache. I get to mourn. I get to laugh out loud. I get to dance freely. I get to trust wholeheartedly. The sun’s rays touch my skin, giving me warmth. I’ve learned that life goes on whether I’m sober or not, but today I have the opportunity to participate in it.’
she remarked, “Allow me to share a brief glimpse into the achievements made due to my abstinence, and oh, how astonishing that I nearly overlooked it all,” accompanied by a video.
Her struggle from addiction to living a clean, sober life seems likely to feature as one of the personal themes she addresses in the lyrics for her upcoming album.
Indeed, she mentioned that her upcoming songs might be challenging for some listeners to accept when they are finally unveiled.
In the Live From Bed podcast interview with Jade Iovine in 2024, she acknowledged that some parts of the discussion might be challenging for certain individuals because they involve sensitive subjects.

In November 2020, Jackson put out her debut solo studio album titled “Wilted,” and since then, she’s shared a few tracks after releasing her second extended play, “The Lost,” back in February 2022.
More recently, her latest single for 2023, titled “Bandaid”, employs a distinctive soft-hard dynamic in its verses and chorus, a technique reminiscent of certain alternative rock groups from the past such as Nirvana.
In a more relatable manner, the song “Just You,” released in 2022, is another tuneful, easy-to-sing track that falls under the category of mid-tempo rock tunes.
In the year 2018, a native of Beverly Hills embarked on her musical journey by joining forces with Gabriel Glenn to create The Soundflowers.
As a devoted follower, I’m excited to share that in June 2020, the duo – with me handling the vocals and ukulele, and Glenn on guitar and vocals too – released our self-titled EP, presenting a raw, acoustic sound.
