The initial, fashionable teaser for the follow-up of “A Simple Favour” starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively is now available.
In a new continuation on Prime Video, following up from the 2018 blockbuster known as Another Simple Favour, the characters Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson are brought back together once more. This time, Emily is preparing to marry an Italian entrepreneur – a wedding that appears ominously bloody in its upcoming events.
In the sneak peek, it’s shown that Emily leaves prison and unexpectedly encounters Stephanie while she’s promoting her book. Emily startles Stephanie by inviting her to serve as the maid of honor at her upcoming wedding.

Then we move on to an opulent Italian backdrop, yet the atmosphere is far from tranquil. Emily exclaims, “Do you believe I invited you here just for revenge, after taking my life and my child from me? Do you suppose I desire to exact a price from you?
While Stephanie is puzzled, a sequence of clips hints at murder and chaos, implying that another intricate storyline awaits us.
“If I do try to murder you, it will make an amazing sequel,” Emily adds.

In the sequel, Paul Feig once again takes the director’s chair, with Henry Golding and Andrew Rannells reprising their roles as Sean and Darren. Joining them are Bashir Salahuddin as Detective Summerville, Joshua Satine as Miles, Ian Ho as Nicky, Kelly McCormack as Stacy, and Aparna Nancherla as Sona.
Among the new cast members are Allison Janney from “The Diplomat,” Michele Morrone known for “365 Days,” Elena Sofia Ricci, Elizabeth Perkins, Alex Newell, Taylor Ortega, and Lorenzo de Moor.
The movie is due to premiere next month at the SXSW Festival ahead of its Prime Video debut in May.
Previously, Feig confessed that he had deliberately stayed away from creating sequels for his films, yet found the characters so engaging that he couldn’t resist returning to them.
Another Simple Favour will stream on Prime Video on May 1.
