Blake Lively’s Steamy Wedding Teaser Amid Justin Baldoni Drama

On a Wednesday, Amazon MGM Studios shared a trailer for their upcoming sequel on YouTube, offering a sneak peek into the plot. In this new installment, Blake Lively (age 37) and Anna Kendrick (age 39) reprise their roles and team up once more.
The much-awaited movie, directed by renowned filmmaker Paul Feig, is set to premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival on March 7.
According to the official account, Stephanie (Kendrick) and Emily (Lively) travel to the stunning Italian island of Capri for Emily’s lavish wedding to a successful Italian entrepreneur.
‘Besides the elegant attendees, be prepared for intrigue in the form of deceit and violence, as both are confirmed guests at a wedding filled with unexpected surprises, much like the winding path from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.’
The announcement for the sequel came as early as May 2022. Starting from May 1, Another Simple Favor will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The flagship film was based off of Darcey Bell’s hit 2017 novel.

In a recent post on X, Director Paul Feig applauded Blake Lively’s acting in Another Simple Favor, having previously shown support for her during the ongoing legal dispute of It Ends With Us.
He penned that Blake and Anna will give outstanding performances. I’m really looking forward to when everyone gets to witness it, fueling excitement for the upcoming movie.
In the midst of escalating conflicts with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, following allegations of sexual harassment and running a defamation campaign against her, Another Simple Favor represents her debut major film role.
This comes after Lively slammed The Hollywood Reporter as ‘sexist’.
The actress, aged 37, criticized the magazine following their latest cover, which showed her aiming a slingshot at Justin Baldoni (an individual she is currently suing for sexual harassment after collaborating on the movie ‘It Ends With Us’). She deemed the image as extremely disrespectful.
A spokesperson for Blake told The Daily Mail: ‘The Hollywood Reporter should be ashamed of itself.
In this image, the composition appears to be offensively derogatory by reinforcing outdated stereotypes about women who speak up against workplace mistreatment. Instead of portraying the complainant as a victim, it shifts the blame to her, depicting her as an aggressor, and implying that she invites or deserves any reprisal that follows.
Blake is currently in a legal dispute with Baldoni, 40, her former director and co-star.
She’s charged him with instances of sexual harassment and improper behavior in the workplace, but Justin firmly denies these claims and has launched a lawsuit worth $400 million against Blake (his wife), Ryan Reynolds (Blake’s husband), and their representative Leslie Sloane.
The Hollywood Reporter’s article delved into the possibility that Justin’s Baha’i faith could have unintentionally played a role in the disagreement.
In her California Civil Rights Department complaint, the outlet mentioned a point made by Blake: Justin had allegedly claimed he could talk to her deceased father. This assertion, it was pointed out, aligns with previous statements he’d made regarding his religious beliefs.
The report said: ‘He has also referenced his interest in the afterlife in interviews.’
It’s possible that the dispute between Blake and Justin originates from a ‘cultural misinterpretation.’ In other words, what if many aspects of their disagreement – such as the reported inappropriate hugging and pre-filming prayers – could be understood as a conflict between a deeply religious community with its own unique customs, and a more contemporary, post-#MeToo culture that has its own set of values and guidelines?
Blake’s representative denied the portrayal, stating instead that the narrative is highly offensive due to its apparent attempt to excuse well-documented instances of sexual misconduct and retaliation by labeling them as mere ‘cultural misunderstandings.’
