Michelle Keegan’s “highly entertaining” BBC drama finally confirms return date

The much-awaited second season of Michelle Keegan’s BBC series, Ten Pound Poms, has been officially announced to commence airing on the specified date.

The well-liked series is coming back on Sunday, March 9th. On this day, you can catch it on BBC One at 8 pm. Additionally, all episodes will be available as a box set on BBC iPlayer starting from 6 am that same day.

The story unfolds around a band of British individuals, seeking fresh opportunities beyond their post-war homeland, as they embark on a journey towards a new life across the globe.

Last year, the initial season of this show was hailed by the BBC as one of the UK’s top new dramas, and many viewers have commended it for being both captivating and reminiscent of a traditional Sunday night watch (as reported on IMDb).

In addition to the latest trailer, this news features Kate Thorne (Keegan) and Robbie (Nic English) renewing their bond of friendship. Moreover, a new character named Benny Bates, portrayed by Marcus Graham, is introduced in the storyline. He’s depicted as a shady landlord in the series.

Previously, enthusiasts were given a sneak peek at the upcoming second season, showcasing the reappearance of the lead characters: Kate (Keegan), Annie Roberts (who played a role in Black Mirror with Faye Marsay), and Terry Roberts (known from The Responder with Warren Brown).

The drama, set in Australia, is penned by Danny Brocklehurst, a BAFTA winner, known for collaborating with Keegan on “Fool Me Once” and “Brassic”.
