Trinny Woodall: Beauty Empire Owner, Not Homeowner, Has Daughter’s Future Covered
Although she oversees a £55 million annual international beauty company called Trinny London, Trinny Woodall herself continues to lease her residence.
61-year-old ex-host of What Not To Wear, when asked by Daily Mail’s Richard Eden, shared that she hasn’t yet acquired a home of her own.
‘I sold my previous house to start up Trinny London, which I grappled with for a long time.’
Nevertheless, she has arranged matters concerning her daughter, Lyla, who is 21 years old. She further mentions: ‘My future is heavily tied to Trinny London now, and I am at peace with that, but for a period, I had worried, “If something happened to me tomorrow, Lyla would be left without a home.”‘
I withdrew funds from the company and deposited them in a separate account. This amount would be sufficient to purchase a house for Lyla. Consequently, if anything were to happen to me, she will have the necessary resources.
Following Trinny’s disclosure, it emerged that she had made a significant business compromise out of concern for her daughter Lyla’s future.

This week, the 60-year-old entrepreneur, who has recently appeared on BBC’s Dragon’s Den, established her cherished brand Trinny London right from her home kitchen as far back as 2017.
Today, a well-known cosmetics company worth millions, this business owes its fame to the tireless efforts of the celebrity. She invested not only her time and skills but even sold her residence to lay the foundation for the brand’s inception.
Yet, Trinny acknowledged a single drawback that came with her intense involvement in her business, an aspect that influences her daughter as well.
She shared with the iPaper: “I haven’t purchased a new home yet. I sold my old house in order to establish Trinny London, a venture that took quite some effort. Typically, individuals at my age would be working on paying off their mortgages.
I’ve invested heavily in Trinny London, and I’m comfortable with that decision now, but earlier on, I had concerns such as ‘If something happened to me today, Lyla wouldn’t have a home’.
The star confided: ‘I withdrew funds from the company to set up an account that will be sufficient to purchase a flat for Lyla. That way, if something untoward occurs, I have a safety net in place.'”
This version maintains the original meaning while using more natural and conversational language. It also clarifies the nature of the ‘something’ by specifying it as ‘unfavorable circumstances.’ This can help to avoid any potential confusion or ambiguity for the reader.
On television, Trinny served as a host for the show “What Not To Wear,” gaining recognition for her blunt yet honest approach to helping people discover a fresh style.
In the previous year, she disclosed that she can be equally incisive in her private affairs. She also mentioned that if individuals deplete her energy, she would choose to part ways with them.

On the front page of Woman & Home magazine, the businesswoman and television host flaunted her impeccable fashion sense in a leopard-print suit. In an interview, she candidly admitted: ‘I don’t hesitate when it comes to cutting ties with individuals from my circle.’
‘If people drain my energy, they have to go. Friends should bring each other energy.’
2023 marked the end of a ten-year relationship for Trinny, who parted ways with her partner, art collector Charles Saatchi, aged 81, who was previously married to Nigella Lawson.
Discussing dating once more, Trinny remarked: ‘It’s fascinating to be unattached in your late 50s and early 60s. Does the age gap matter significantly when it comes to dating – is there a distinction between me declaring I’m 59 and being involved in dating, versus being 60 and dating?’
Completely the opposite… it’s not about the number, but rather how we present ourselves. Previously, 60 might have felt old, but now it feels more akin to being 40.
In the past, she was wedded to Lyla’s father, entrepreneur Johnny Elichaoff, from 1999 until 2009. Sadly, he ended his life in 2014.
When he passed away, she was in the process of launching her cosmetic brand, Trinny London. Since then, she’s managed to turn it into a thriving business empire.
In the year 2001, Trinny and Susannah Constantine rose to fame by hosting What Not To Wear, gaining notoriety for their straightforward fashion recommendations.
Regarding our friendship, she stated: ‘Among all my relationships, this one stands out as the most balanced… At times it becomes quite profound and demands some space, but we wholeheartedly accept each other just the way we are.’
The realization occurred following the insistence of her daughter, as well as her co-star’s daughter, that the show wouldn’t be produced on this day.

The pair feel as if the show and their mothers would instantly be ‘cancelled’ because of how it.
They were recognized for their sharp remarks towards one another, often making fun of Susannah’s ‘thin arms’ or Trinny’s ‘minimal bust’.
However, during a shared public appearance, Esme and Lyla playfully suggested that their moms might need to be removed from broadcast due to the way they communicate with one another.
‘I think they would be cancelled if the show was made now,’ Lyla told Tatler.
‘You can’t really speak to people like that any more, and say things like, ‘You’re so ugly.’
Lyla attends IE University in Madrid where she focuses on the study of communication and digital media, contrastingly, Esme earned a degree in art history from Bristol University.
When asked about their fondness for the series, they both responded at the same time with, “To be honest, I haven’t seen a single episode.
However, they do recollect certain moments from filming on different sets, as Esme put it: ‘I can still vividly remember visiting countries such as Poland or Sweden for our European tour stops.’
