Shock Chemotherapy Announcement from Kyle & Jackie O Star After Host’s Brain Aneurysm News!
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share the latest update about one of my beloved stars from The Kyle & Jackie O Show. Recently, they’ve bravely disclosed that they’re undergoing chemotherapy, following closely on the heels of Kyle Sandilands’ shocking brain aneurysm diagnosis just weeks ago. My thoughts and prayers are with them during this challenging time.
During their Wednesday morning broadcast, longtime KIIS FM employee Brooklyn Ross announced the latest news live on-air.
In conversation with Kyle (age 53) and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson (age 50), he shared that he was currently receiving chemotherapy as part of a treatment plan for a scar located on his back.
He shared that he began chemotherapy treatment the day before, not due to cancer but because of a growing scar on his back. The scar has been expanding over the years.
‘How did you get the scar?’ host Kyle asked.
Brooklyn clarified: ‘Since there was no hot water in the shower, I fetched boiling water instead. Unfortunately, I slipped during this process.’
He then explained that the doctor injects the scar with ‘chemotherapy liquid’.
It comes just weeks after Kyle revealed to listeners he had been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.
Fans of the radio star have expressed their support and well wishes since his admission.
On a Friday, I learned from my healthcare professionals – making it seem like I’m in a serious condition – that I have a brain aneurysm. This situation demands urgent care, specifically brain surgery, as I shared then.
My physician warned me that neglecting treatment could have been fatal. Living a lifestyle filled with drug use and excessive partying isn’t the path to follow.
He then cracked a joke about the show’s lower ratings in Melbourne.

Co-host Jackie O said: ‘Let’s think positive.’
‘That doesn’t work in real life,’ Kyle responded.
The presenter then explained his condition on air.
Instead of describing it as a blockage, you might visualize the situation by thinking of a damaged garden hose. In this case, the hose represents your blood vessel, which has become weakened and developed a large blister or bubble, similar to a puncture, rather than a complete obstruction.
‘It’s like a bike tyre with a big bubble – that bubble’s the aneurysm, so it’s not blocked.
‘It’s expanded and if it bursts, (I will become) either a vegetable, in the wheelchair, or dead.’
He disclosed that his physician has forbidden him from using cocaine, engaging in excessive masturbation, lifting heavy weights, and experiencing high levels of stress.
Kyle then revealed the effect the sad news was having on his loved ones.
