British crime thriller Unforgotten has been recommissioned for season 7.

Last night, the popular show concluded its sixth season, and right after the finale, ITV has officially confirmed that it will return for another round.

Stars Sinéad Keenan (Detective Chief Inspector Jessie James) and Sanjeev Bhaskar (Detective Inspector Sunny Khan) shared the exhilarating update on Instagram, expressing their delight in announcing their return for Season 7, even displaying a script to confirm the news.

Chris Lang, the creator behind the scenes, expressed his excitement in a statement about returning to write more episodes for “Unforgotten.” He’s thrilled to continue following Sunny, Jess, and their exceptional squad as they work on solving yet another long-unresolved mystery.

Unforgotten is a drama that invites viewers to listen closely, think deeply, and participate in intricate stories and concepts. We’re incredibly thankful that so many of you have stayed committed to this shared experience, and here’s to another seven seasons!

Unforgotten follows Jessie and Sunny as they try to crack cold cases of murder and disappearance.

The sixth season has been incredibly successful, with its premiere attracting a peak audience of 7.4 million viewers within two weeks. This makes it the second-most-watched drama series of the past year on any broadcast platform, as reported by ITV.
