Most OP characters in Squad Busters right now
In the current version of Squad Busters, the Tank, Hog Rider, Barbarian King, and Trader are considered top-tier troops due to their effectiveness in battle. The latest update from February 2025 for Squad Busters didn’t seem to alter the game’s metagame.
In any given scenario, a tank can deal substantial harm to your adversaries, boosting the overall power of your team significantly. Generally, I try to steer clear of confrontations with a tank-led squad due to their formidable strength.
Instead of the trader, however, significantly boosts your chances of amassing additional Gems. As gems are currently the sole victory requirement in the game, incorporating a Trader into your team can greatly increase your likelihood of securing a top three position in many matches, provided you efficiently farm resources.
The Hog Rider provides a significant increase in speed, which is crucial. This faster pace leads to improved resource management and squad construction, plus it often prevents your squad from being defeated. In fact, you’ll frequently find yourself grateful to the Hog Rider for its role in saving your squad from defeat.
The mighty Barbarian King enhances significantly the power of all his melee combatants in the group. Furthermore, he boasts an impressive amount of health points, making him quite tough to bring down.
Regarding the attackers, Colt, Jessie, Archer Queen, and Witch are excellent choices. However, keep in mind that both Archer Queen and Witch are epic characters, which means you might not encounter them often. As for defenders, Heavy and Barbarian King make for strong picks from the available pool.
In our current setup, All-Rounders, Speedsters, and Healers each have a restricted roster, which means their placement within the Squad Busters tier list is quite precise. While we do possess a good number of suppliers, most of them fall into the average category.
How to know the best troops in Squad Busters
In general, the Squad Busters tier list offers a guideline, but the optimal troop for each fight can significantly differ. The unique aspects of each battle mod have an impact on the gameplay flow, often causing a shift in the importance of different troops.
