Sophie Cachia Stuns Fans with Shocking Birth Photo After Third Child
Sophie Cachia sparked debate among her followers upon posting a personal image depicting the birth of her third child.
34-year-old ex-AFL partner (WAG) recently brought a baby girl named Esmé into the world on January 28, using a sperm donor. She shared this exciting news on Instagram only a few days after the birth.
As a devoted mom of three, I recently commemorated my youngest daughter’s first month by sharing a vivid image capturing the precious moment of her birth. This snapshot left some of my followers speechless.
In the picture, Sophie appears assisting the doctor while carefully extracting Esmé from her body. As she emerged, the newborn seemed to reach out toward her mother.
Madison Prespakis, an AFLW player, joyfully watched by Sophie’s side during childbirth, offering gentle support by placing a comforting hand on her partner’s knee.
In the same room, Sophie’s oldest son, a 10-year-old named Bobby, stood by his mom and cheered her on as he witnessed the arrival of his baby sister.
A multitude of spectators flooded the comment section of the surprising post, criticizing Sophie for exposing such a personal experience to her 260,000 audience members.
‘Nothing is kept private anymore, that’s for sure,’ one person wrote.

In spite of facing criticism, Sophie found herself overwhelmed by an outpouring of support from friends and admirers, who applauded her for capturing a ‘magnificent’ and ‘potent’ instant on film.

Last month, Sophie happily shared that she had given birth to her third child, following the process of intrauterine insemination (IUI) as a solo parent last year.
In a post featuring photos from the hospital, she announced: ‘Esmé Sophie Shaw was born to us on January 28th at 5:58 pm, with her remarkable older siblings looking on.’
‘My dream experience to have them there and now diving deep into my love bubble.’
The photos featured Sophie cradling baby Esmé alongside her 24-year-old girlfriend Madison.
Apart from Sophie, her kids Bobby (age 7) and Florence (also 7), who are from her previous marriage with Jaryd Cachia, could be seen in the family snapshots as well.
The post was met with warm congratulations and well wishes from friends and fans.

The WAG-turned-influencer confirmed she was expecting her third child in July 2024.
Sophie opted for fertility assistance using an anonymous sperm donor. She’s made clear on multiple occasions that she won’t disclose the identity of the donor, only confirming that it wasn’t Jaryd.
A fan inquired: ‘I’m really intrigued by your ideas. Are you using a sperm donor? I’m just curious, so I can understand better and offer support. Please maintain complete privacy.’
In reply, Sophie dismissed speculations among fans that Jaryd was the father of her daughter, labeling these theories as far-fetched and stating that she would not delve deeper into the topic for now.
She wrote: ‘I anticipated queries and curiosity, and that’s completely acceptable. Maybe someday, when I feel prepared, I’ll disclose all the details.’
Yet, an aspect I didn’t anticipate was the numerous queries and presumptions about my ex-spouse as the father.
‘Do you know many people having kids with their ex six years after separation lol?
Although we share a friendly family bond while co-parenting our fantastic child, it doesn’t imply that we plan to have more children together in the future.
She described her fans’ questions as ‘intrusive’.
The arrival of this newborn brings joy to the world – and that’s all I have to say for now. If ever I decide to reveal more, I will certainly do so.
Meanwhile, Sophie previously hinted she will be raising her third child as a single parent.

Sophie and Jaryd (aged 33) were wedded from October 2015 until September 2019, during which time they brought up two kids together.
Since their split, she has struck up several back-to-back romances with high-profile sportswomen.
Initially, she was in a relationship with Alanna Kennedy from the Matildas soccer team. Later, she became engaged for a short while to Maddie Garrick, a prominent figure in the WNBL. Subsequently, she embarked on a one-year romance with Sophie Van De Heuvel, an AFLW star.
In October, Sophie said she would like more children.
Sophie mentioned her observation following the upload of a video, where she initially talked about having four children consecutively.
Sophie responded to fans inquiring about the term “back-to-back babies” after she uploaded a selfie on Instagram.
‘I didn’t realise so many people didn’t know what [it meant],’ she said.
Many found it surprising that I desired four children, a fact that left quite an impression on many.
I’m eager for the chance to tackle a task repeatedly, as I want to complete it. Next year, I’ll be 36, and I’ll also have another child who will be 11 years old.
However, due to the challenges I’m currently facing with my third baby, I’ll need some time to think about it before I can give you an answer.
Later on, the fashion innovator confessed her desire for six children, which might be fulfilled through the process of surrogacy.
