A$AP Rocky Names Third Child After Acquittal Hero
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that, in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, A$AP Rocky has expressed his readiness for a fresh start following the acquittal on felony gun charges against him. In his own words, he can’t fully convey how relieved he feels.
36-year-old rap artist erupted in elation and embraced his companion, Rihanna, once the court found him not guilty on charges of felony assault using a semi-automatic weapon, after a trial lasting three weeks.
Rapper known as Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was charged with potentially serving twenty years in prison due to his alleged participation in a fight that occurred with his ex-friend Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli, in 2021.
However, as a liberated individual, he is prepared to move forward, with his lawyer, renowned defense attorney Joe Tacopina, successfully persuading the jury that the acclaimed Praise the Lord musician was actually the target of an attempted extortion.
Rocky shared with DailyMail.com, in a private conversation, that he is extremely grateful and relieved, particularly for his family.
‘For the past three years, Rihanna and I have had a legal issue looming between us like a heavy burden. Now, we can both move forward with our personal lives and focus on our children, leaving this trial behind us.’

In the aftermath of Wednesday’s decision, the three-time Grammy nominee expressed gratitude towards the jurors, likening their role to that of saviors, as they had potentially spared him from a dire fate.
However, he saved his most heartfelt compliments for Tacopina, an experienced lawyer whose star-studded client roster is reminiscent of the elite figures in society.
As Rocky, I can’t help but express my gratitude for Joe’s unwavering faith in me. He consistently reassured me that everything would turn out fine, and time and again, his actions proved him to be the exceptional trial lawyer he is renowned as across the nation.
He added: ‘Aside from Joe I need to thank God and this amazing jury.’
Reportedly, Rihanna and her partner Rocky have decided to honor their appreciation by naming their upcoming third child A$AP Joe. They are already parents to 2-year-old RZA and an 18-month-old named Riot.
He understood that the current situation might lead him to spend several years in a state penitentiary, making it a pivotal point in his existence, as per Tacopina’s statement to DailyMail.com.

After spending a couple of days embracing his wife and children, deeply savoring the moment, the next morning found him back at the studio, immersed in creating his latest album.
‘He’s got the Met Gala coming up that he’s co-hosting. He’s laser focused on the future.’
Rocky and Ephron have been buddies ever since their adolescence, belonging to the same crew known as A$AP Mob, which was formed in New York City back in 2005.
However, as Rocky’s success grew, it seemed to fuel his childhood friend’s resentment, according to testimony presented in a downtown Los Angeles court.
As stated by prosecutors, there had been significant friction between the two individuals leading up to the reported incident on November 6, 2021. Ephron testified that his ex-friend discharged two bullets from a handgun during an altercation outside a parking garage in Hollywood, only grazing his knuckles.
But Tacopina argued that Rocky was actually carrying a prop gun incapable of firing real bullets.

‘He fired the prop gun twice, hoping to scare off Relli,’ Tacopina told jurors.
‘Nothing indicated that a gun had been discharged. There were no empty shells, no shards of bullets, no vehicle damage or shattered windows. No signs pointed towards a weapon being fired.’
Tacopina portrayed Ephron as a litigant, driven primarily by a 30-million-dollar civil lawsuit he filed against Rocky.
Tacopina characterized Ephron as an individual who took legal action due to a $30 million civil lawsuit, which he initiated against Rocky.
Or even simpler:
In Tacopina’s representation, Ephron was a plaintiff, primarily driven by a 30-million-dollar lawsuit against Rocky.
Tacopina stated further that the individual is undeniably a crook and deceiver under oath, who falsifies every aspect of this case. The forthcoming proof will unequivocally demonstrate that he’s attempting to blackmail Rocky by demanding money.
I, as a speaker, firmly assert to the jury: “This trial revolves around the emotions of envy, deceit, and avarice within an individual, and that person is none other than Terell Ephron, not Rocky.
Rocky declined a proposal for a sentence reduction, which meant he’d spend half a year in prison if he admitted to one particular offense.

Making that choice turned out to be wise as the jury delivered not-guilty verdicts, which led to joyful celebrations within the hip hop artist’s group.
Rihanna expressed her joy on Instagram by saying, “I give all the credit to God! I’m feeling thankful and humbled by His kindness!
For almost four years, this issue has cast a shadow. It’s the reason behind the intense feelings expressed by Rihanna, as well as everyone else, according to Tacopina’s explanation.
In my passionate pursuit, I don’t merely engage with individuals as clients; they become an integral part of my extended family. This bond transcends transactional relationships, delving into a shared understanding of the profound impact our interactions have on their lives. It’s as if we’ve built a fortress together, weathering life’s storms side by side.
‘You see those two little kids and you know what this means for them. The pressure was enormous.’
This week’s trial marks the conclusion of Tacopina’s vibrant 120th case, a distinguished chapter in his long career as one of the county’s highly sought-after defense lawyers.

A feisty individual from New York, even while attending law school, managed to land a significant opportunity when he collaborated with a group of legal professionals who successfully defended Mafia leader John Gotti during his trial for the shooting of a labor official, ultimately leading to an acquittal.
58-year-old Tacopina admitted that he wouldn’t represent another gangster in court, as his father Cosmo, an honorable Italian immigrant, strongly disapproved of them due to their negative impact on his family’s deli business.
Previously a standout high school hockey player, he moved on to work for the District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, successfully concluding 49 out of 50 cases he handled there.
However, he gained notoriety by working with personalities such as Donald Trump, Michael Jackson, the famed Alex Rodriguez of the Yankees, Meek Mill, a well-known rapper, and YG, among many more.
Last year, Andrew Napolitano, a former judge and television commentator, highlighted Trump’s cross-examination of E. Jean Carroll during her defamation and battery lawsuit as exemplary, even though Trump ultimately lost the case.
‘I mean, so good that law students will study it in the future,’ Napolitano told Fox & Friends.
Sean Hannity, a previous client, labeled Tacopina as one of the most outstanding defense lawyers ever in existence.
In a conversation with DailyMail.com, Tacopina expressed that his innate calling is as a trial attorney. He likened this profession to an intense competitive sport, and he relishes the dramatic aspect of it.
If someone suggested that I become a corporate lawyer at one of the large legal firms, I’d prefer working as a barista at Starbucks instead.
