See which games are medal events in the Aishi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.
Although the 2026 Asian Games might seem distant right now, the Olympic Council of Asia has already unveiled the esports titles set to feature in the event. Take a look at the list of games for which players can compete for their respective countries, here.
Esports in the 2026 Asian Games
The Asian Olympic Council revealed the complete schedule of events for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya on February 22, 2025, as stated in a recent memo. The memo indicated that the final list of sports was determined following an emergency meeting of their executive board.
The esports titles at the Aishi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games are:
- Competitive Martial Arts (Team Competition)
- Street Fighter Series
- Tekken Series
- King of Fighters Series
- Pokémon Unite
- Honor of Kings
- League of Legends
- PUBG Mobile – Asian Games Version
- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
- Identity V: Asian Games Version
- Naraka: Bladepoint
- Gran Turismo (7)
- Efootball Series
- Puyo Puyo Champions
In contrast to the Olympics’ announcement one day prior, this new list presents some modifications. Originally, both Dreams Three Kingdoms and Street Fighter 6 were on the list, but now, Street Fighter 6 stands alone as the only fighting game.
In the previous competition, only League of Legends and PUBG Mobile were kept as part of it. Riot Games, creators and distributors of League of Legends, expressed their satisfaction about having League of Legends Esports in the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games and are open to the possibility of including it again in the 2026 Asian Games.
From seven to eleven
As a passionate gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to announce that the 2026 Aishi-Nagoya Asian Games will feature an impressive lineup of over 11 esports games, marking a significant leap from the mere 7 we saw in the previous Asian Games. It’s a dream come true for gamers like me!
As an enthusiast, I was thrilled to be part of history when the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games marked the debut of esports as a medal event. This was a significant step up from its demo event appearance at the Jakarta-Palembang 2018 Asian Games. The Hangzhou event showcased 475 competitors hailing from 30 different nations, all vying for glory in seven popular esports titles.
- EA Sports FC Online
- Street Fighter V
- Arena of Valor
- Dota 2
- Dream Three Kingdoms 2
- League of Legends
- PUBG Mobile
Meet the new titles in 2026 Asian Games
Puyo Puyo Champions
The game titled “Puyo Puyo Champions” or “Puyo Puyo eSports,” depending on where you’re playing, is a fast-paced, competitive puzzle title that Sega has created for various platforms including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows via Steam.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
MOONTON Games’ Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), a popular 5-versus-5 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game, is set to participate in the upcoming Asian Games. This title was among the first esports games selected as medal events at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but feel proud and honored that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has been selected for the 2026 Asian Games. This game, renowned for its accessibility, strategic complexity, and universal appeal, is now recognized as a leading mobile esport.
This momentous occasion not only underscores MLBB’s influence on competitive gaming but also underscores its role in fostering unity among diverse communities through its high-level play. I am deeply grateful to the Olympic Council of Asia for granting us this opportunity to exhibit MLBB’s unique qualities on such a distinguished platform.
I eagerly anticipate witnessing the top-tier competition at these Games, which will undoubtedly inspire the budding esports athletes of tomorrow.

The organization boasts a thriving global esports league that consistently draws large audiences, particularly in Asia.
Identity V
Identity V, a game, is crafted as an asymmetrical horror-survival title, both developed and published by NetEase. Interestingly, Behaviour Interactive, the team behind Dead by Daylight, has also contributed to its design. This is apparent in the game’s structures, where elements reminiscent of Dead by Daylight are noticeable and influential.
Similar to Dead by Daylight, Identity V features one player matched against four others, making it the initial asymmetrical game in what’s now known as the Asian Games. Notably, the memo and official announcement mention an “Asian Games Version,” implying that the game’s atmosphere may be less dark and violent elements could potentially be softened.
With fervor and unwavering commitment, we’ll strive to reveal the distinctive appeal of the unconventional world of asymmetrical eSports on a global scale.

Honor of Kings
“Honor of Kings is a MOBA created by TiMi Studio Group and distributed by Tencent Games on iOS and Android platforms. Previously known as Arena of Valor, this game was adapted for a global audience. However, in June 2024, Honor of Kings was launched globally instead, effectively ending the operation of Arena of Valor.
Pokémon Unite
Pokemon Unite, developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by The Pokemon Company, is a team-based (5 versus 5) Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game accessible on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch devices. Unlike traditional MOBAs, this version allows teams to score goals in addition to the standard battle mechanics. The game incorporates classic elements from the Pokemon series such as character evolution and customizable movesets. However, unlike previous games, the effectiveness of certain moves is not determined by a move or Pokemon type system.
Naraka: Bladepoint
Naraka: Bladepoint is categorized as an intense wuxia-themed action battle royale title, where the goal is to survive and emerge victorious as the last player standing in a multiplayer arena that can accommodate up to 60 competitors. The game is accessible on contemporary gaming consoles, Windows PCs, and GeForce Now platform.
Gran Turismo 7
Gran Turismo 7 is the 2022 entry to the long-running sim racing video game franchise.
Efootball Series
