Magic Chess: Go Go: The Complete Ranked Guide and Tips

Magic Chess: Go Go” is a no-cost, multiplayer strategy game in the style of chess, created by Vizta Games, which is part of MOONTON Games. This title takes inspiration from the well-liked game mode of “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang,” specifically the “Magic Chess mode.” While similar to MLBB’s Magic Chess mode, MCGG offers multiple gaming modes. The introduction of Ranked mode has brought about Ranked tiers, Seasonal rewards, Rank Conquest, and numerous other features.

Introducing the Ranked Mode in Magic Chess: Go Go

Magic Chess: Go Go’s Ranked Match is an excellent platform to display your chess skills and strategic finesse, as you compete against seven other players of a similar skill level. Among the three game modes offered within the game, Ranked Match stands out as the most engaging one, even if you are less inclined towards competition.

In contrast to MLBB’s magic chess mode, where every match was essentially a ranked game, here you’ll find a more engaging competitive experience due to a dedicated mode specifically for competitive players who strive for victory. You can opt to play solo or engage in ranked matches alongside your friends, but remember, even though you team up, you’ll still be competing against each other.

To triumph in the Ranked play, aim to place among the top 4 players in each match. Failing to perform well and landing in the bottom 4 means defeat, resulting in a loss of your ranked points. At present, there isn’t a Leaderboard available. If you are accustomed to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s ranked matches or have played before, you will notice that the mechanics are quite comparable.

At the conclusion of the season, your ranking will be restored and updated based on the highest league you attained during the preceding season. To move up to higher leagues, aim to earn the maximum number of Stars in your current league. The outcome of your matches impacts the Stars you acquire or lose afterwards.

Magic Chess: Go Go Ranked Mode tiers

In the game Magic Chess: Go Go, there are eight main ranks, and each rank has several sub-ranks. The least prestigious rank is Warrior, whereas the most honorable one is Mythical Honor.

  • Warrior
  • Elite
  • Master
  • Grandmaster
  • Epic
  • Legend
  • Mythic
  • Mythical Honor

Ranked System: Star-raising Points and Protection Points mechanism

After your game ends, you’ll receive Star Boosting Points if you emerge victorious, and Shield Points if you come up short. Both types of points serve a similar purpose as they help keep your standing where it is or propel you forward in the rankings more swiftly, much like those found in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

If you accumulate enough Stardust Tokens, you’ll receive an extra rank star as a reward. On the other hand, filling your Shield Points meter guarantees that you won’t lose a star following a defeat in a match. Furthermore, you can gain extra points through consecutive victories and achieving winning streaks.

Conversely, it’s important to note that certain features become unattainable when you progress to Mythic and Mythical Honor levels. This makes it more difficult to advance further, an aspect I find beneficial as it signifies your high-level skill attainment at these stages.

Season Rewards

In the game Magic Chess: Go Go, there’s a feature called “Season Rewards” or “Season Progress,” which operates much like the Season Rewards in Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB). By participating in numerous ranked matches during the season, you can accumulate various rewards through this system.

To earn a Commander skin, all you need to do is play fifteen ranked matches. If you’re up for a greater challenge, playing one hundred fifty ranked matches will net you a season-exclusive border. Alongside these rewards, you’ll also gather plenty of Chess Points and Go Go Chests by simply continuing to play. However, it’s best not to focus too much on the rewards themselves but rather enjoy the gameplay as you progress.

Rank Conquest

The game has a feature called Rank Conquest exclusively for its Ranked mode. As you progress through the ranks, you’ll earn various items. Until you reach the Epic tier, you’ll only get Chess Points, but once you hit Legend, things change. Achieving Legend X will net you a Star Protection card, and reaching Mythic rank rewards you with an exclusive S0 Profile Background.

Nevertheless, although the Legendary Rank, which is the top-tier in the game now, doesn’t offer any rewards yet for achieving it at present.

How to climb up ranks quickly in Magic Chess: Go Go

Let’s explore how you can move ahead rapidly, collect all seasonal rewards, and earn rank conquest rewards. To achieve this, you’ll need to focus on the Ranked mode extensively, as your position at the end of a match decides your rank. Aim to secure a spot within the top four to progress effectively in the ranks.

1. Practice various lineups till you have a consistent one

In the suggested rosters section, you’ll find a selection of robust teams to choose from. It’s best to begin by experimenting with the top-recommended ones, honing your skills until you find the one that fits you best. If you prefer, you can also practice using the lineups outlined in our beginner’s guide.

By frequently adjusting and testing various team combinations, or lineups, you’ll progressively improve your playing skills. Each game presents unique situations that may not align with your expectations. Finding a successful lineup quickly can provide a substantial edge since it offers an advantage over others.

2. Improvise and strategize quickly

Just like how I adjust my moves in a traditional chess game according to the board’s state, you too will find yourself needing to adapt strategies based on the evolving circumstances in this game. As with any skill, adapting to different situations and improvising effectively comes with time and practice. To sharpen your strategic thinking and gain more experience, I recommend playing both Classic and Ranked mode frequently. Let’s learn together and become masters of this game!

Success in this game relies not just on luck, but also on your ability to think and act swiftly, seizing opportunities as they arise during play. For example, some players, under pressure or haste, overlook the free Go Go Crystal, a mistake you can capitalize on when it happens. Therefore, be vigilant for such instances where you can gain an edge.

3. Max out your Commander, that goes well with the lineup

The developers have redesigned the method for advancing Commanders, making it slightly tougher in comparison to before. Although it’s not excessively difficult, you may find yourself spending more time, waiting for special occasions, or using Diamonds to do so.

To advance a Commander, you’ll require three identical versions of the Commander card, meaning advancing to level 3 could take some patience. However, it’s worth investing time since an upgraded commander offers substantial benefits in your matches. Pick a robust commander that complements your team setup and strive to fully optimize its potential for the best gaming experience.

4. Focus on increasing your game knowledge

In this game, you’ll discover numerous characteristics initially, which might seem overwhelming. However, don’t be discouraged; give it a try.
