Watch the trailer for Pedro Pascal’s “stylish and entertaining” new action-comedy

The initial trailer for the upcoming movie titled “Freaky Tales,” featuring stars Pedro Pascal and Tom Hanks, has been released.

The action-comedy anthology, helmed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (of Captain Marvel fame), weaves together four tales set in 1980s Oakland. These narratives gradually intertwine, creating an exhilarating journey that is aptly referred to as a “wild ride” for the characters and viewers alike.

Before its U.S. theatrical debut on April 4, Lionsgate has unveiled the initial full-length trailer. The gripping video starts off showing Pascal’s character, Clint, being threatened with a gun.

Subsequently, Clint gets recruited to break into the residence of basketball star Sleepy Floyd, portrayed by Jay Ellis. However, his decision to quit the criminal world meets resistance from his superior, The Guy (Ben Mendelsohn).

For the movie’s ensemble, we have Normani, Dominique Thorne, Marshawn Lynch, Jack Champion, Keir Gilchrist, Ji-young Yoo, and the recently departed Angus Cloud as well.

1987 Oakland serves as the backdrop for the vibrant anthology, “Freaky Tales“, which brings together a diverse cast – an NBA star, a rogue cop, a dynamic female rap duo, rebellious teenagers, white supremacists, and a debt collector – all headed towards a dramatic confrontation in this intense, dream-like narrative of standoffs and clashes.
