Sean Bean’s gripping thriller series is available now at new UK streaming home

Snowpiercer, the show starring Sean Bean and Jennifer Connelly, has found a new home in the UK.

This dystopian series, modeled after Bong Joon-ho’s 2013 film, portrays the lives of those traveling aboard the named train. This train is home to the last survivors of humanity following a catastrophe. Life on board isn’t easy, as it reflects the harsh realities of class disparity and social injustice that were prevalent even before the apocalypse occurred.

Excitedly, I’ve been waiting for the news ever since the final season aired last year. Now, as a fellow fan, I can finally share that we in the UK will soon get to enjoy all four seasons, thanks to ITV securing the rights to air them!

Starting today, you can catch the entire 40-episode series of “The Show,” co-created by Josh Friedman and Graeme Manson, on ITVX. Moreover, the 2013 movie featuring Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton is also available for streaming on the same platform.

Alongside Bean and Connelly, who portray Joseph Wilford and Melanie Cavill, the impressive ensemble for Snowpiercer also features Daveed Diggs, Mickey Sumner, Lena Hall, and Clark Gregg. Notably, Clark Gregg will be joining the series in its fourth season.

The show Snowpiercer was canceled following the broadcast of its third season in 2022, as indicated by TNT with this statement: “We are pleased to announce that after a highly successful, multiple-season run on TNT, Snowpiercer will conclude.

The skilled team behind it – writers, performers, and production staff – breathed extraordinary life into a unique concept. It received widespread praise, left an enduring mark on the post-apocalyptic genre, and continues to resonate with fans for years to come.

In recent years, “Bean” wasn’t the sole series to be terminated. For instance, “Shardlake,” a Tudor-era mystery series inspired by CJ Sansom’s novels, was ended by Disney+ after only one season. In this show, Bean portrayed Thomas Cromwell alongside Arthur Hughes and Anthony Boyle.
