Holly Willoughby’s Emotional Reunion With Daughter’s Midwife
On Saturday evening, Holly Willoughby found herself unable to suppress her emotions following an unexpected meeting with the individual who had given birth to her daughter Belle, thirteen years prior.
On Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, the 44-year-old presenter was questioned whether she could recall an exceptionally memorable visitor.
In a moment’s pause, Holly expressed, ‘I believe I may recognize her, yet I wish to confirm.’
Michael hinted that the purpose of the game was exactly this, leading the Dancing on Ice host to clarify her thoughts.
Welling up, she said: ‘I’m thinking we might have met each other, 13 years ago.
I’m referring to thirteen years back as it was on that day when our wonderful, extraordinary daughter, Fredette, entered the world.
Michael and Fredette verified that Holly was indeed right, and the featured guest was the very midwife who had assisted in delivering Michael’s now-teenage daughter.
With a quiver in his voice, The Star of the Celebrity Bear Hunt expressed, ‘Fredette was exceptionally wonderful due to the fact that Belle was born five weeks early, making her incredibly small.’
In a state of fear and anxiety, all I could recall was your reassuring words, “We’ll breathe this baby out.” I focused on your voice and in that moment, you asked, “Do you remember me?” Your words were the comfort I needed then.
‘I’ll never forget your voice.’
Holly struggled to express just how significant that moment was for her, since that’s what Fredette recalled about herself as well, remembering the TV personality.
Holly stated, “It’s one of the most terrifying experiences you’ll encounter, as all you can hope for is that everything turns out alright.
Afterward, she highlighted that her child was among the spectators and expressed gratitude towards Fredette for being a part of her daughter’s existence.
Fredette revealed she had worked as a midwife since 1982 but has now retired.
After the performance, Holly rushed to the stage for a warm embrace with Fredette, then posted backstage photos from the event on Instagram, including one of a midwife greeting Belle.
She posted a delightful picture showing Belle and Fredette in a warm embrace, expressing gratitude for such an ‘extraordinarily memorable’ experience.

Holly and her spouse Dan Baldwin have a daughter named Belle together, in addition to two sons, Harry (age 15) and Chester (age 10).
