Brawl Stars February 2025 Brawl Talk: New Brawlers

Finx

In the latest update, we’ve got a new addition to our roster – Finx, proprietor of the Starr Park escape room. This fresh face is a Brawler who specializes in manipulating time within the game. His primary attack, Chronocast, launches three projectiles forward, with the outer ones causing less damage than the center one. By doing so, he enhances his chances of hitting a broader area, giving you more control over the battlefield.

With his special ability, “Time Warp,” he can manipulate time within a designated region. This temporal adjustment slows down the movement of enemy projectiles trapped inside it, while simultaneously boosting the speed of friendly projectiles, benefiting both him and his comrades.

With Fixture, he can rewind time by three seconds, returning to his previous location, similar to Lylia’s ultimate ability in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Additionally, it refills his maximum ammunition from the past three seconds.

With the “Hieroglyph Halt” Star Power, you can swiftly lessen the reload time of adversary Brawlers struck by your primary attack, temporarily. Meanwhile, your second Star Power, “Primer,” prolongs the impact duration of your Super’s effect for any damage inflicted by you or your allies.

Lumi

Lumi, who’s known for her fierce drumming skills in metal music, is part of the Madevil Manor Trio. Following Finx, she enters the scene, embodying the elements of Fire and Ice, symbolizing the duality within her character.

As a devoted admirer of Lumi, I’d like to share some insights about her combat style. Her primary attack involves hurling a pair of morning stars at foes, inflicting harm. Once tossed, these stars return to me like boomerangs, dealing damage to any adversaries they encounter on their journey back. Her Super, the powerful “Blast Beat”, unleashes a series of three heavy strikes, causing widespread destruction. The third strike has a special touch; it roots enemies firmly in their tracks.

As a gamer, I wield two powerful abilities that make me reminiscent of Shoto from My Hero Academia. Firstly, my “Hit The Lights” gadget lets me ignite the ground with damaging flames wherever I place my morning stars. Secondly, my “Grim & Frostbitten” ability whips up a freezing wind around any morning stars on the ground, adding an extra layer of frosty chaos to my battles. These abilities make me a force to be reckoned with!

During Half-Time Star Power, any adversaries struck by the rebounding celestial stars experience a decrease in speed. Simultaneously, her second Star Power, 42% Burnt, sets ablaze the ground beneath where her Super’s impacts occur. These talents’ names are reminiscent of a Metallica song and other metal band song titles, for those interested in the connection.

Hypercharges

Fantastic news for all! In the upcoming updates, Brawl Stars will be adding a boosted feature called 12x Hypercharges, which will be rolled out across two separate patches. Check out these Brawlers and their newly acquired Hypercharges:

[List of brawlers with their new hypercharges]

This enhancement is bound to make gameplay even more exciting for everyone!

  • Carl’s Flamespin – His Super now leaves a fiery trail of rocks that scorch the ground, burning any enemy that touches you.
  • Mandy’s Sugar for All – You can fire her Super in three different directions.
  • Hank’s Homing Fish-iles – The fish torpedos you fire with his Super now home in on enemies.
  • Bo’s Catch a Bear – You can deploy five mines instead of the usual three with his Super, without overriding any existing mines.
  • Bea’s Protect the Queen – Her Super’s projectiles split into two at max distance, and on hit, they increase her Super’s range and spread even further.
  • Meg’s Tungsten Toughness – This massively increases her Super’s swipe range, while also gaining a shield when you activate her Super.
  • Mr. P’s Super Porters Assemble – His home base now spawns much stronger Porters, and you can have two active Super Porters at once.
  • Buster’s Plot Armor – Buster’s shield now covers 360 degrees around him, and reflected projectiles deal extra damage.
  • Chester’s Crunchy, Chewy, Gooey – He can throw a sweet that explodes, dealing damage, spreading the poison cloud, and leaving the slowing area for a few seconds.
  • Lola’s Inflated Ego – Lola can spawn a mega inflated Ego with increased health and damage.
  • Grom’s Ground Bomb Goes Boom – His Super triggers a secondary explosion in an X pattern, dealing damage, breaking walls, and knocking enemies back.
  • Sam’s Hyper Fist – His Knuckle Buster now travels faster and fully charges his Super if it hits any enemy Brawler during the hypercharge.

Ranked System Overhaul

In Brawl Stars, the ranked mode is about to undergo its fourth overhaul, offering enhanced rewards, a more intense competition, and a fresh game mode every month. Plus, three fully upgraded Brawlers will be accessible for all players each month. For the upcoming season, you can select from the options of Emz, Gene, or Leon.

We’ve gone into depth about the changes in the revamped Ranking System, such as the introduction of the new Pro Pass, advancement process, associated perks, and all other essential information.

The initial Pro Skin is named “Astral Colt,” which features unique elements such as a custom Pin, Profile Picture, Spray, Special Attack effects, eight distinct Pins, Special Takedown effects, an animated Brawler Card, Special Spawn and Respawn effects, an additional Ultra Astral Colt skin, and two Chromas for the Ultra Colt: Guardian Colt and Hyperion Colt. Moreover, players can select which level of the skin they wish to utilize during gameplay.

Daily Streak

Regularly signing into Brawl Stars each day grants you complimentary bonuses that may range from minor perks to more substantial prizes. Keeping up your daily log-in streak causes the counter to ignite, adding an appealing visual touch to your gameplay.

Should you happen to forget a day, you have two options: either start anew with your streak or choose to use 29 Gems to keep it going. Regardless of whether you miss a day or not, your rewards remain unaffected.

March Dark Sands Season

Initially slated to return in March, the “Sands of Time” season was meant to make a comeback. However, with the unveiling of Finx, the plans underwent a shift. Consequently, the upcoming season will now be dubbed “Dark Sands”. The featured Brawl Pass skin will be a mummified version of Frank, which we can call “Mummified Frank”, while the Brawl Pass Plus will offer not only “Charcoal Frank” but also “Papyrus Frank”.

I’m really looking forward to the upcoming season, as it brings along some fresh Brawlers, each getting their own themed costumes. Specifically, characters like Queen Juju, Mystic Meeple, Pharaollie, Scarab Squeak, and Ruffesses II will be sporting new looks.

Super Brawl Season

The current season in Super Brawl is centered around the new skins developed by the Brawl Stars team, specifically the Justice Master Bibi. This character has two exclusive skins as part of the Brawl Pass Plus: Injustice Smasher and Virtue Smasher Bibi.

Four champions will be in the lineup, starting with Spectaculor Sam, the leader of the Super Brawlers created by FinnyShow, followed by Firewing Janet from WarpWave, and Equilibrium Buster, a creation of Vinuui.

Moving on to the villains, we have Insector Carl, who orchestrates Artho_Max’s criminal activities; Protector Grom, created by J-Y Jacky; and Electroid Chuck, a creation of Gedi-Kor.

In this version, I’ve tried to make it sound more conversational and easy to read while maintaining the original meaning.

UNO Collaboration

As a gamer, I’m super excited about the collaboration between Brawl Stars and UNO! In this mini event, we’ll be rocking the new Chester Skin and diving into an exclusive UNO game mode. Just like in classic UNO, our mission is to collect and strategically play cards by either tossing them into the discard pile or snatching them from opponents. The team that gets rid of all their cards first wins, just as in the original game! It’s going to be a blast!

Moreover, UNO Action cards trigger special effects.

  • Draw two: Team members gain two Power Cubes.
  • Skip: Your enemies can’t attack for the next three seconds.
  • Reverse: You can move enemy cards back to base.
  • Pro-Tip: You can body block flying enemy UNO cards.

Additional skins and other miscellaneous updates

Brawl Stars plans to win back Brazilian fans who were disappointed with Piper being chosen over Mandy by introducing the “Carnival Mandy” character for the 2025 Carnival event. Moreover, a special skin named “P.E.K.K.A.S.H.” will be available exclusively in the Supercell Store.

Here are the forthcoming 29 Gems skins: Dark Night Lumi, Jurassic Finx, Fiendish Amber, Beach Belle, First Mate Fang, and Cored Eve. Additionally, Trio Showdown is now permanently accessible within the game. Previously, Gadgets featured limited charges; however, they now have cooldown periods instead. Moreover, you can now mark your preferred Brawlers for easy access. Lastly, the development team has rearranged the Quick Chat options.
