J. Cole Quietly Drops “cLOUDs” on His Blog

J. Cole has been enjoying his blog, particularly The Algorithm, where he often releases updates from his Inevitable audio series. He used his site to inform fans that he’s focused on creating new music, and true to his word, the 40-year-old rapper posted a brand-new track titled “cLOUDs” on his blog.

Cole posted about it on his blog, saying, “I thought I’d share. I created this a few days back and then added a second verse. It struck me that with my new blog, I can publish anything I want. So here it is! I didn’t have a title initially, but now I do.

On the powerful rhythm of the track, Cole delivers lyrics that say, “I’m like the thumping bass in your car, the bullet that narrowly missed Trump/ The firearm that malfunctioned because it appeared God had different designs/ A man’s son reaching out to a Son of Sam/ In pardon, for all the killings we have seen unfold/ The over-dramatized, the traumatized, those burdened with sickness.

This fresh track represents Cole’s initial release since the mixtape “Might Delete Later” from last April. Notably, this mixtape contained a diss track directed at Kendrick Lamar, entitled “7 Minute Drill.

Listen to J. Cole’s new song, “cLOUDs,” on his blog now.
