Radio Star Wippa’s Weight Loss Drug Nightmare: Shocking Side Effects Revealed!

On air on Thursday morning, Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli confessed his regret over using a costly weight loss medication following some uncomfortable side effects he encountered.

The host of Nova radio recently disclosed that he has been using a drug similar to Ozempic called Mounjaro, and he shared with his co-host, Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, that this medication was causing problems in his digestive system.

On Monday mornings, just like you when you feel an urgent need to rush to the bathroom, I found myself in a similar situation this past week. That’s how things have been for me.

The 45-year-old, who once commended the drug, later acknowledged a shift in his opinion following his personal experience with its discomforting side effects.

Wippa mentioned the greatness of Mounjaro, and if he hadn’t shared some new information about it with you, he would have been deceiving.

I wanted to share that I’ve been delving into Mounjaro, and it turns out there’s a blog post detailing the experiences at the 16-week milestone.

Here’s a more polite and less graphic way of expressing that situation: “I found myself in an awkward predicament while traveling; I ran out of toilet paper, and I wasn’t sure how to handle it.

Wippa also revealed the medication had left him feeling exhausted.

He mentioned that since he only takes it once a week, he initially assumed he had a short-lived illness and it would pass within a day or two. However, instead of improving, he feels completely depleted of energy.

Previously this month, Wippa openly confessed live on air that he was using a pricey weight loss medication often favored by celebrities.

Wippa said, “I went to see my doctor recently because I wasn’t feeling well and he suggested I weigh myself.

Wippa found that his weight was greater than anticipated, leading to him being given the weight loss medication, Mounjaro, which is in competition with Ozempic, as an alternative treatment.

Instead of discussing the specific weight, let’s focus on the fact that it had three digits. I’ve encountered this before, and my doctor mentioned there could be a solution for me.

Initially, Wippa stated that the doctor told him Mounjara was superior to Ozempic since it enabled individuals to attain identical weight loss targets “without the adverse effects.” However, he later admitted this assertion was not accurate.

‘You administer it via a pen. Both Mounjaro and Ozempic help reduce blood sugar levels in individuals when used alongside a balanced diet. They also have an effect of reducing appetite.’

He shared how taking the medication was aiding him in cutting down on snacks during the day, as his morning bowl of cereal was now enough to keep him satiated until lunch.

Wippa then said the one downside to the drug was its cost.

Wippa mentioned, “The pen costs $350 and a month’s supply of medication totals to the same amount. I required a new pen, and the pharmacist billed me $580 instead.

The Melbourne-born presenter said it had significantly improved his appearance and lifestyle.

However, he recommended anyone considering it should shop around for the cheapest deal.

Wippa and his wife Lisa have been open about his health struggles in the past.

Back in 2023, I, a devoted fan, was thrilled to learn about the unique sleeping arrangement of my favorite couple – they chose to sleep separately! This revelation came from Lisa, their charming partner, who is 41 at the time. Their three beautiful children are certainly a testament to their bond, yet even in their personal space, they prioritize harmony and comfort.

In a chat with Body+Soul, she disclosed their unusual sleeping setup, explaining that while each has their individual beds, they also retreat separately to private bedrooms every evening.
