Ferrari Unveils the SF-25: Its Challenger for the 2025 F1 Season

Scuderia Ferrari has publicly presented the SF-25, their contender for the 2025 Formula 1 season, during an event held at London’s O2 Arena. Ferrari’s CEO Benedetto Vigna, Team Principal Fred Vasseur, and drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were present. The SF-25 will first appear on the track privately at Fiorano before traveling to Bahrain for pre-season testing from February 26 to 28.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled about Ferrari’s latest creation, the SF-25, their 71st Formula One car. Despite retaining the familiar name, this beauty is all innovation under the hood, led by Loic Serra’s vision. A significant change has been made to the front suspension, transitioning from a pushrod to a pull-rod system. This tweak not only streamlines airflow management but also broadens the scope for aerodynamic development. Regarding the power unit, it stays consistent thanks to regulatory stability. However, Ferrari has cleverly fine-tuned its performance strategy to optimize efficiency throughout each race weekend.

Ferrari has given its design a fresh update, featuring a more intense Racing Red hue in a matte texture. A striking white stripe brings a contemporary flair, while subtle, glossy red and white accents reflect the brand’s enduring elegance. Drawing inspiration from the 499 Hypercar competing in the WEC, the SF-25’s appearance underscores Ferrari’s racing heritage. Of particular note, the wheel rims align with the car’s red livery, and Leclerc’s and Hamilton’s race numbers are displayed using Ferrari Sans, the official Ferrari font.

The iconic Ferrari SF-25 is about to undergo its initial competitive trial in Bahrain, prior to the start of the racing season in Australia on March 16th.
