Netflix’s ‘Legends’ Thriller Series Gets Trailer & Release Date

Netflix is hoping a new British crime thriller will be its next big hit, similar to the popular show Slow Horses. Starring Steve Coogan, the series is based on the true story of how Britain secretly trained ordinary people to go undercover and fight the war on drugs. It’s expected to arrive on Netflix early this summer and could be a great choice for viewers eager for more spy stories while they wait for the next season of Apple TV+’s hit series.

Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming crime thriller, Legends, which premieres on May 7th. The series centers around Don (Coogan), who leads a secret operation to go undercover in the drug world. Instead of using professional spies, he assembles an unlikely team of regular customs agents. These agents are given new identities and a risky mission, and they must maintain their cover or face the consequences. Legends blends intense spy action with humor, and is expected to be a popular addition to Netflix’s lineup.

Okay, so I was really excited to see the cast list for Netflix’s Legends! Beyond Steve Coogan, who I always enjoy (like in Night at the Museum), they’ve assembled a seriously talented group. We’re talking Tom Burke (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), Hayley Squires (Beau Is Afraid), Tom Hughes (The English), Aml Ameen (A Man in Full), Jasmine Blackborow (The Gentlemen), Douglas Hodge (G20), Johnny Harris (Great Expectations), Gerald Kyd (The Assassin), Numan Acar (Homeland), Charlotte Ritchie (You), Joshua Samuels (Saltburn), Kem Hassan (The Sandman), and even Thomas Coombes (Baby Reindeer)! I’ve already checked out the trailer – you can see it below – and I’m definitely intrigued.

More to come.
