Travis Kelce Teams Up with Morgan Freeman for Hollywood Blockbuster!

In simple terms, NFL player Travis Kelce, who is dating Taylor Swift, has ventured into movie production, and his film will soon be screening in cinemas.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ footballer has been steadily advancing in the world of Hollywood, following a year spent hosting television gameshows.

Kelce, 35, is credited as an executive producer on the film My Dead Friend Zoe.

This film features prominent actors such as Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman, who received his award for Million Dollar Baby, and Academy Award-nominated actor Ed Harris. In addition to them, the cast also includes Sonequa Martin-Green and Natalie Morales.

The movie was written and directed by Kyle Hausmann-Stokes.

The project will debut in movie theaters on February 28.

It’s not his debut role in Hollywood: Kelce previously appeared on FX’s show Grotesquerie, and is set to collaborate with Adam Sandler in the upcoming film Happy Gilmore 2. Additionally, he hosts Prime Video’s program titled Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?

Kelce isn’t new to Hollywood: He’s already starred on FX’s Grotesquerie and is teaming up with Adam Sandler for Happy Gilmore 2. Plus, he’s the host of Prime Video’s trivia show called Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?

Kelce seems thrilled with the project.

Participating as an executive producer for My Dead Friend Zoe has been an exceptionally rewarding journey, as I shared with People in a statement on Wednesday.

Travis remarked, “My late friend Zoe narrates an engaging tale that illuminates the hurdles our veterans have to overcome.

He is ‘proud to be a part’ of the project.

He went on to express his intention of carrying forward with significant tasks similar to this one – narratives that amuse, motivate, and truly matter.

Kelce remarked that the film presents a compelling narrative, with its main focus on two robust female protagonists.

He noted that Sonequa and Natalie truly embody depth and genuine portrayal in their acting, emphasizing the courage, tenacity, and commanding presence of women serving in the military.

The Comical Tragedy of My Lost Companion Zoe – A tale revolving around Merit, portrayed by Martin-Green, who grapples with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder following the demise of her friend and fellow military comrade, Zoe, played by Morales.

 Hausmann-Stokes said Kelce was ‘incredible’.

The filmmaker stated that although their schedules didn’t permit Travis to come to the shooting location or interact with the actors, it was evident from the beginning that he agreed to be part of the project due to his strong admiration for the armed forces and veterans.

All participants in this movie, including the main actors, our nearly entirely real veteran cast, the hardworking crew, dedicated producers, and the multitude of investors who made the film a reality, were driven by the desire to make a social impact and contribute to larger causes. It was a privilege to have Travis as part of our team for the same altruistic reasons.

Kelce has been with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013. He’s won three Super Bowls with the team.

They lost this year’s Super Bowl.

On February 12 Travis said that he is taking it slowly after the big game. 

‘I think I’m gonna take some time to figure it out,’ he said.

I believe it’s important for my teammates that, should I return, my commitment will be complete and I won’t just be going through the motions. In other words, I will give it my all.

I’m completely committed to them, and I believe I could participate if I feel motivated and it aligns with what’s best for me as an individual, considering my role as a man, a human, and a person, taking into account the implications of assuming such responsibility.
