Blake Lively privately labeled Justin Baldoni as an “unsettling” individual, sharing details about his unexpected conduct during the filming of “It Ends With Us,” in a message to a common acquaintance.
On May 24, 2023, the actress from Gossip Girl, who is 37 years old, shared with an unidentified friend via text that she had cried following work, as stated in a revised lawsuit submitted by her legal team on Tuesday evening.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d originally planned to extend an invitation for us to gather tomorrow. Specifically, I was thinking of Baldoni, who is 41 and happened to be my co-star and director at the time, as well as Jamey Heath, a partner at Wayfarer Studios with whom we were collaborating. In essence, they’re like the power duo of HR today.
Later on, Lively refers to both Baldoni and Heath as “inappropriate individuals,” recalling an inappropriate question Baldoni asked about her personal life with Ryan Reynolds. She further states, “Please, restrain your impulses. This is not for you. I don’t desire it.
In my own words, I would rephrase it as: Lively clarified, “I don’t want to see, hear about, or discuss, nor do I wish to watch videos of your spouse, a misunderstanding that arose when I first thought a video you shared of Natasha giving birth was adult content.
It’s astonishing. Clowns,” Lively, who’s been entangled in a contentious legal battle with Baldoni since December, ended the statement.

On May 26, 2023, her concerns over ‘unsuitable conduct’ were brought to the attention of Baldoni, Heath, and Sony executive Ange Gianetti, as stated in the court documents.
On Tuesday evening, Lively amended her lawsuit against Baldoni, causing quite a stir. One of the allegations made is that he had posed an extremely inappropriate question.
Based on the records, Lively claims that Baldoni, who his attorney criticized in relation to a recent court submission, supposedly made an inappropriate inquiry about her and Ryan’s intimate life during the production of the contentious film “It Ends With Us.
As a devoted admirer, I can assert that the director-actor allegedly endeavored to convince me to enact an intimate response authentically during a particular scene on camera.
Reports suggest that the two actors initially agreed to remove a particular scene, but director Baldoni made a final effort to preserve it, featuring the couple experiencing an intimate moment.
The complaint stated that Baldoni was accused of insisting to Lively that it was crucial for him to include that particular scene, where their characters reach climax together during sexual activity, because it held significant importance to him.
In addition, the legal text indicates that Mr. Baldoni inappropriately questioned Ms. Lively about whether she and her spouse reach climax together during sexual activity. This question made Ms. Lively feel uncomfortable, prompting her to decline further discussion on the matter.
Meanwhile, Baldoni’s lawyer has fired back at Lively’s lawsuit amendment.
According to the actress, two other actresses from “It Ends With Us” are preparing to share proof for the accusations she has made.

Nonetheless, attorney Bryan Freedman, representing Baldoni, finally spoke out about what he deemed as a “modest” adjustment in the contentious legal dispute.
The lawyer maintains that there appears to be no fresh, incriminating evidence presented in the documents, and he feels certain that nothing was included that could negatively impact his client’s case.
According to TMZ’s report from Wednesday, the attorney representing the American actor-director stated that the lawsuit contains vague and unproven allegations made by unknown individuals who have chosen not to testify or endorse her accusations publicly.
Additionally, Freedman pointed out that his clients – such as Baldoni, their public relations team, and Wayfarer Studios – have consistently been open about offering invoices, current records, and footage, which paint a narrative significantly contrasting with the one sensationalized and selectively presented by the media.
In her revised lawsuit, Lively alleges that two other actresses on the set of “It Ends With Us” shared similar discomfort regarding their interactions with the film’s director and costar.
According to a source from DailyMail.com, Blake’s assertions are being contested because it’s claimed that she’s reaching for anything solid (straws) in her argument. Initially, she was reported to have substantial evidence (smoking guns), but now it appears her revised complaint lacks any real substance. In simpler terms, the source suggests that Blake doesn’t have a strong case.
‘To set the record straight, Justin has never been accused of harassing any woman on set. Not one complaint was filed by any woman, including Blake. If he had, it would be logical for them to go to HR first.’
The informant subsequently revealed the names of two actresses from the movie’s cast, specifically Isabela Ferrer and Jenny Slate.
‘Indeed, Isabella commended Justin. She penned her thoughts on what an excellent colleague he is. However, it appears that Jenny Slate wishes to stay away from the whole situation; she has communicated this intention to multiple individuals.’

It appears highly doubtful that anyone is willing to publicly support Blake’s allegations, as there seems to be no tangible evidence such as messages, emails, or any mentions of these supposed women in the updated lawsuit. Conversely, Justin appears to have solid proof to defend himself, leaving Blake without any substantiating material for her claims.
Simultaneously, as per a representative from Blake’s team, the complaint deliberately omits mentioning the supposed victim-witnesses and excludes their messages or photos for the sake of preserving their confidentiality.
As a lifestyle advisor, I’d like to emphasize that the individuals involved, who I refer to as ‘victim-witnesses’, have graciously granted Ms. Lively permission to disclose their correspondence within the Amended Complaint, exactly as presented. In due course, these same individuals will offer testimony and provide necessary documents during the discovery phase of this case.
The complaint reportedly includes substantial evidence from the same time period suggesting that Blake wasn’t the only one making accusations of on-set misbehavior, and there is also support for her initial allegations.
Additionally, it’s alleged that there is evidence revealing the threats, harassment, and intimidation faced not only by Blake, but also numerous unsuspecting bystanders.
It’s also asserted that Steve Sarowitz, Baldoni’s business partner at Wayfarer Studios, reportedly told a different person that if Blake and Reynolds were to overstep certain boundaries, he would retaliate against them using an unusual comparison.
As a loyal devotee, I’d rephrase it as follows: In a private conversation with an unnamed colleague who was collaborating with Wayfarer on a venture distinct from It Ends With Us, Sarowitz is said to have expressed: “I will safeguard this studio with the same determination Israel displayed in its defense. The death toll here reached 39,000. When I’m through, there will be only two.
As per Lively’s account, Sarowitz subsequently recanted his statement within the same discussion. He clarified that while he wouldn’t literally take a life, those high-profile individuals would effectively be out of his professional sphere.
Previously, in December, Blake had filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin, her co-star and director of their successful romantic drama titled “It Ends With Us.
Later on, Justin decided to take legal action by filing a defamation lawsuit worth $400 million against Blake, her representative, and her spouse, Ryan.
Additionally, he initiated a lawsuit worth $250 million for defamation, specifically targeting The New York Times over their coverage regarding Blake’s accusations.

But despite the high-stakes legal battle, it seems neither side plans to back down any time soon.
In the previous month, a court set a trial date for the lawsuits, which is slated for March 2026. Both sides have opted against pursuing mediation instead.
Simultaneously, Justin’s attorney stated that these accusations have resulted in significant loss for his client in terms of work.
In this week’s edition of Hot Mics With Billy Bush, Bryan shared insights on the ongoing legal matter and disclosed his desired resolution for his client.
Regarding the query about his readiness for a mediation with Blake’s legal representatives, the attorney clarified that they had declined the offer, stating, “No, we are not interested in mediation.
As a committed follower, I won’t take any action until Justin has been exonerated from the allegations of being a predator or a sexual harasser. Until it’s confirmed that these accusations are unfounded, my actions will remain as they are.
Previously on the “Today” show, Billy, who’s 53 years old, pressed Justin more by inquiring: “What matters more to Justin – the $400 million or an equitable financial resolution that compensates for…has he suffered work loss? Has his involvement in future projects been affected due to this situation?
Bryan replied: ‘A substantial amount of work,’ but didn’t elaborate on any specific projects.
When the host inquired whether Justin seeks a “complete apology from Blake,” the attorney, known for representing celebrities such as Robert Downey Jr. and Mariah Carey previously, responded saying, “I believe he desires a resolution, I’m certain he desires a resolution…
He denies participating in the actions as claimed, and also refutes any involvement in sexual misconduct or defamation.

Upon their reappearance during the SNL50 anniversary special on Sunday, it seemed that Blake and her spouse Ryan took a more jovial approach in handling the circumstances.
In a particular part, when addressing questions from the high-profile spectators, I subtly hinted at the ongoing legal disputes.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler set off the exchange by asking: ‘How’s it going?’
Fantastic! So, what’s the news?” The Deadpool actor replied, his hands clasped tightly together with a hint of nervousness.
Later on, it was revealed to DailyMail.com that certain guests at the SNL anniversary event felt ‘nervous’ or ‘uneasy’ regarding interactions with the high-profile duo.
