Denise Richards Shares Rare Update on Daughter Eloise’s Chromosomal Disorder

In an open conversation, Denise Richards discussed her youngest child, Eloise, who has a chromosomal disorder, quite infrequently.

54-year-old television host is set to welcome her three daughters on a forthcoming Bravo reality show. She adopted baby Eloise back in 2011.

After five years, it was determined that she had a deletion on chromosome 8, leading to delays in Eloise’s development, noticeable in areas like her ability to walk and speak, at the age of 13.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I couldn’t help but share my delight about Eloise, my precious daughter who brings an unparalleled joy to our lives. Her radiant spirit and perpetual happiness make her an irresistible beacon of positivity that everyone is drawn towards.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member stated that her oldest children are simply outstanding with them, and further mentioned, “They consider me as if I gave birth to her; she is their sister. As a result, they share a beautiful bond with her.

Denise mentioned that Eloise suggested the family should take a moment to enjoy the beauty of roses amidst their hectic schedule.

Later on, Richard referred to his youngest child as a blessing ‘sent by God’, and pondered over the uncertainty of how the condition would impact Eloise once they received the diagnosis.

Initially, it was assumed she would speak, but instead, she is generally classified as non-verbal. However, the celebrity emphasized that she is both conscious and attentive.

She grasps every aspect. The situation she found herself in was exceedingly complex, leaving her to decipher the true circumstances. Needless to say, it wasn’t easy for her.

Apart from discussing various topics, Sami additionally shared insights into her bond with her little brother and affectionately called him Eloise by her pet name, Wheeze.

She excitedly shared that the duo are incredibly close, often indulging in mutual makeup sessions and frequent shopping trips together.

Upon marrying her husband Aaron Phypers in 2018, he also adopted Eloise one year later.

In my perspective, it wasn’t a choice that needed to be made; it simply is what it is. She’s an exceptional person, someone I hold dear. To me, she feels like family – she’s my beloved one.

2019 saw Denise sharing her struggles with figuring out her daughter’s diagnosis during the ninth season reunion of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as reported by Bravo.

Eloise was born with a chromosomal abnormality that specifically involves Chromosome 8. This anomaly has led to numerous delays in various aspects of her life, including her speech and overall development, as clarified earlier.

Approximately two years back, we discovered something quite challenging to diagnose. It turned out to be a real struggle.

The actress went on to say, ‘Reading the details from the medical report about the blood test and other tests, it was tough to confront them in cold, written terms. It’s particularly challenging when it involves one’s child.’

During an interview that same year, Denise shared that Eloise had difficulty staying upright unassisted for extended periods, and she began walking at the age of two only after undergoing physical therapy sessions.

At certain moments, she seems to comprehend things as if she were older than her actual age, but at other instances, she behaves more like a 3-year-old emotionally. It has proven to be quite difficult for her, she admitted later on.

Richards confessed that she’s constantly learning as there isn’t a predefined guide for her unique situation.

Eloise is set to appear alongside her mom on the new Bravo reality show, “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things,” premiering its first two episodes on March 4th.

Last June, news broke out about the television personality headlining a new series centered around her life experiences as she juggles her roles as an actress, spouse, and parent under public scrutiny.

18-year-old Sami, along with Lola, and Denise’s spouse Aaron Phypers, will all be featured in the 30-minute episodes, as well. Additional notable guest stars are expected to appear throughout the series.

This past month, I got an exciting sneak peek at the upcoming series that offers a more intimate glimpse into the life of Richards and her loved ones.

To kick things off, the trailer showcased various milestones from the celebrity’s hectic professional journey, including their guest spot on a talk show and a photoshoot session.

In her confidential conversation with the cameras, Denise expressed that she is juggling multiple roles – being an actress, a wife, part of Hollywood, and a mother.

In her words, she expressed that life under the public spotlight, particularly within the realm of Hollywood, can be incredibly challenging – more so when your parents are Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen.

The glimpse concluded as Denise remarked, ‘It’s often believed that life becomes simpler as you grow older. Quite the contrary, it becomes more challenging. Without a doubt, there isn’t any user manual to guide us through it.’

In the short preview, Eloise could be seen, her face lighting up with a wide grin as she sat beside her mom in a car.

Additionally, she appeared alongside her family in promotional photos for the Bravo series, which is 16 years following the conclusion of Denise’s earlier endeavor titled “Denise Richards: A Complex Journey.

The series ran between 2008 and 2009, and after some time had passed, she also appeared on Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills for two consecutive seasons before leaving in September 2020.
