As a dedicated gamer, I’ve picked up on some intriguing clues about Overwatch 2’s new hero, number 45, during the latest stream. Even though we haven’t seen all of Hero 43 yet, these hints are definitely pointing towards something exciting!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve enjoyed watching the informative Overwatch 2 Spotlight stream from Blizzard. During this broadcast, they revealed several exciting new features that will be introduced to the game in future seasons. As Season 15 kicks off, it’s confirmed that we’ll soon have “Perks” in the game. Moving forward, Season 16 is expected to introduce the Stadium game mode, hero bans, and a new hero called Freja – along with other anticipated changes.

As a gamer, here’s what I’m looking forward to in Season 18: We’ll be introducing Hero 44, Aqua, and there’s a sneak peek of what Hero 45 might turn out to be from the recent stream.

Hero 45 hints, rumors, and clues

Regarding Overwatch 2, the game’s 2025 roadmap is brimming with excitement, featuring fresh game modes, new characters, and numerous enticing features in store. Despite already boasting an impressive lineup of heroes, Blizzard continues to expand the selection for gamers. Freja is set to debut in Season 16, while Aqua will join us in Season 18. Moreover, there are whispers about Hero 45, a yet-unnamed sword-wielder, hinting at future additions to the roster.

During the Overwatch 2 Spotlight event, game director Aaron Keller subtly suggested a hint about Hero 45. Following this, internet detectives got busy and uncovered potential evidence. Many people spotted a miniature drawing of a character with long hair wielding a large sword, but we have neither confirmation nor denial on the matter yet.

At present, we have some clues and visuals to work with, but it’s clear that Hero 45 will be a valuable asset to our team. For the moment, we are still gathering information about Freja and Aqua, so it may take some time before Hero 45 receives further focus.
