Simon Cowell Admits Britain’s Got Talent Isn’t What It Used To Be

Simon Cowell confessed that he’s not discovering ‘mega-stars’ anymore on his extended run of the show Britain’s Got Talent.

This coming weekend, the popular ITV talent show is back on British televisions, featuring judges Simon, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli, and a fresh addition to the panel, KSI.

In an exciting change to its regular format, Ant and Dec will once again take charge as hosts, and this season will extend twice as long compared to usual, marking it as the longest series yet. This significant modification alters the typical schedule of the competition.

As I eagerly anticipate the upcoming season, I must admit that my perspective on this renowned talent search has evolved significantly over the years.

As an ardent admirer, I’d rephrase Simon’s statement like this: “From the get-go, I was all about discovering a superstar. But now, I view our platform as a chance for those with undeniable talent, who might not always get a big stage, to seize their ‘moment’ and shine.

He shared with The Sun on Monday that his perspective towards things has shifted significantly from the beginning, as initially he used to think, “You need to discover a standout performer”.

‘And, of course, we always hope we will find someone who’s going to have a mega, mega, mega career.

Simultaneously, regardless if it’s magic, humor, or dance, where else can you present yourself to such a vast crowd and seize those special, memorable moments? I refer to these as “moments.” I don’t believe any other television program offers the same opportunity.

The judges were ready and waiting in a new series of snaps released by the show on Monday.

At the forefront, Simon stands alongside Amanda, Alesha, Bruno (the newest judge), KSI, and the show’s presenters Ant and Dec.

In the latest promotional photos, Alesha dazzles while wearing a petite silver minidress, pairing it elegantly with knee-high leather boots.

Amanda meanwhile stands out in her bold red dress and heels, posing up a storm next to Simon.

Over the weekend, it became known that Britain’s Got Talent may face criticism due to disturbing scenes scheduled for broadcast during the upcoming season.

One audition is set to be particularly memorable – for gruesome reasons.

To capture the attention of the elite judges, a performer inserted a corkscrew and meat hook into their head, passing through their nose and exiting from their mouth.

As a dedicated admirer, I can’t help but warn you all: What you’re about to witness might ignite some controversy among viewers and is frankly, not something to attempt at home! So, please, sit back, enjoy the show, and remember, leave the daring feats to the professionals.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I find myself intrigued by this peculiar appeal: ‘It’s eerie horror that leaves you both repelled and captivated, which paradoxically makes it irresistible. Displaying such content may invite criticism, yet the anticipation of engaging audiences with the unusual is enticing, so we’ll give it a go!’

He commented, “It’s amusing how they advise ‘do not attempt this at home,’ as if everyone is stockpiling screws and other items, eagerly waiting for the chance to imitate it!

Other judges praised the performance too, with Alesha calling it ‘entertaining’ and ‘funny’.

As a guest judge, performer, boxer, and YouTube personality known as KSI, expressed that the act was “outstanding”. However, he confessed his feelings of relief for not being present to witness it live.

Simon maintained that the surprising show, despite its intensity, remains appropriate for young viewers and will be broadcast prior to the 9 p.m. parental guidance time.

Previously, ITV unveiled the initial trailer for the upcoming series, and executives confirmed that the widely appreciated variety talent show would return towards the end of this month. They also gave fans a sneak peek into the future episodes.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of watching the fresh, captivating promo for the upcoming season of our favorite talent show. Joining hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly this year is an exciting, refreshed judging panel. Can’t wait to see what they bring to the table!

However, the change in the judging panel isn’t the only alteration for this year’s show. Instead, the opening scene features a clip of Blackpool Tower, signifying that many of the auditions this time around are being held there instead of the usual venue, London.

At the beginning of the video, you’ll hear Dec speaking: “Everyone, find your seats, the show is moments away.” Meanwhile, the judges make their way through the bustling crowd, slapping hands and cheering.

As head judge Simon maintains a composed demeanor, donning a pair of orange-tinted spectacles and flashing a peaceful gesture towards the audience, Bruno exudes a completely different energy, noticeably rushing down the stairs in an enthusiastic manner.

Amanda and Alesha vow to keep up the elegance and style, since they’re shown in the promotional video looking fabulous and fashionable, adorned with exquisite outfits and flawless makeup.

Amanda announces to the competitors, “You have exactly two minutes to make a life-changing decision,” followed by a series of memorable audition clips being displayed.

Audience members will be treated to an array of stunning performances featuring various talents such as dancers, gymnasts, musicians, and circus acts, along with many other surprises.

All eager competitors will compete against each other, aiming to secure a spot where they can entertain His Majesty during the Royal Variety Performance.

Once again this year, we have the golden buzzer in action. Although the video doesn’t reveal who gets pressed, it does display both Simon and Dec granting a performance a chance to leapfrog directly into the semifinals.

Britain’s Got Talent airs every Saturday night from 22nd February on ITV1.
