Katie Price says her son, Junior Andre, questioned her about why she married her husband, Lee Andrews, so soon after they started dating.
Fans were surprised when 47-year-old Katie Price married 42-year-old Carl Woods in Dubai in January, just ten days after they first met.
Even though her family worried, past partners made serious accusations, and many of Lee’s boasts about his money, business skills, and connections proved untrue, Katie remains convinced he’s genuine.
On her podcast, Katie Price shared that her son, Junior, age 20, has been questioning her decision to get married so quickly. This led her to draw comparisons between her situation and the reality TV show Love Is Blind.
She said: ‘I was talking today to Junior and he said: “Mum, why did you get married so quick?”.
I pointed out that there’s a show called ‘Love is Blind’ where people get married without ever seeing each other, and no one seems to mind. They go into it knowing absolutely nothing about the other person. But in my case, I actually got to know Lee, I saw what he looked like on screen. Yet, when I married him, people were upset. It seems okay for reality shows to do this, but when I do it, it’s a problem.
Katie’s sister, Sophie, who hasn’t been shy about disliking Lee, simply said, ‘I’ve never seen it, so I wouldn’t know.’
Love Is Blind is a Netflix reality show, now with ten seasons, where singles attempt to build a connection and fall in love without meeting in person, prioritizing emotional connection over physical attraction.
During the podcast, Katie strongly denied rumors that she and Lee are relocating to Dubai, even though Lee stated he purchased a £36 million home there with cash for them both.
‘I’ve got five children, I’m not going to just get up and move to Dubai’, she insisted.
I’d like to spend more time getting to know Lee before anything happens. I’m not in a hurry, and I really don’t understand why everyone is so interested in my personal life – it’s private. I live in West Sussex, and that’s all anyone needs to know.
Sophie added: ‘I think it’s because you made it public you are both buying a house there together.’
Katie hit back: ‘It’s true but it doesn’t mean to say I’m there all the time.’
Following the announcement of Katie and Lee’s wedding, Katie’s children, Princess and Junior – from her previous marriage to Peter Andre – appeared on the show This Morning.
The couple stated that the family is content as long as Katie is doing well, even though Katie’s five children haven’t met Lee yet.
Princess stated she hasn’t met the person in question. Her brother, Junior, added that their mother is independent and will make her own choices, and they support her as long as she’s happy.
He said her happiness was all that mattered, and Princess agreed, adding that they were happy as long as she was too.
Lee says he made an offer to purchase a controlling interest in Chelsea Football Club, which is currently sixth in the Premier League and trails league leader Arsenal by 22 points.
A businessman in Dubai is determined to move forward with a bold and ambitious plan to invest in the current World Club Cup champions.
Andrews, 42, explained to The Sun that while he won’t reveal exactly how he made his money, he assured them the funds are available. He stated they need to confirm this, but the money will be deposited as promised.
‘It sounds crazy, it sounds ambitious, but watch this space.’
When asked about reports that Andrews was planning to invest in Chelsea, a source familiar with the couple told the Daily Mail, “I haven’t heard anything about that, and I really don’t think it’s true.”
Okay, so I’ve been following this so closely, and it looks like to actually take over Chelsea from Todd Boehly – yeah, the guy who bought the club for £4.25 billion four years ago – whoever does it is going to need a huge amount of money. It’s not going to be cheap to pry the club away from him, that’s for sure! I’m just hoping the right person comes along and really understands what Chelsea means.
It’s unclear how wealthy Lee is – he says he’s connected to Elon Musk, the richest person in the world – but Chelsea’s current owner, Boehly, doesn’t make similar claims.
The businessman, based in Miami, is worth an estimated $8.4 to $9.3 billion. He also owns 20% of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team.
The American is significantly wealthier than Lee, who has previously stated he earns between £2 million and £5 million each year from his US investments.
Lee’s reputation and trustworthiness have been seriously damaged since he married Katie. Several former girlfriends have publicly accused him of being dishonest and are warning Katie to end the relationship.
Alana Percival, 32, who was previously engaged to Andrews, claims he defrauded her and lied about his money and accomplishments. Andrews proposed to Percival just 16 weeks before marrying Price.
As a lifestyle and business observer, I’ve been following this entrepreneur, and it’s come to light that he’s stated he earned a PhD from Cambridge University. Interestingly, he’s been running his eco-friendly vehicle company, Aura Worldwide Holdings Limited, while based in the United Arab Emirates – essentially operating from home. It’s an unusual setup, but speaks to the changing landscape of global business.
He also claims to bilingual and fluent in almost every known language, including Arabic.
Last March, he posted several pictures and videos online, including one where he claimed he was on track to become a trillionaire. He hinted at a secret source of wealth and described himself as being among the wealthiest people in society.
One photo shows a stylish man at a bar, accompanied by text suggesting he’s wealthy, secretive, and has a close-knit group of friends, along with an attractive woman.
I saw this post the other day and it was wild! He put up a picture of a yacht and said, ‘Send this to future trillionaires.’ Then, a voiceover came on listing off this huge number – $1,274,930,645,80.73 – like he was already there. It was definitely a flex!
His success and wealth were highlighted with the saying, ‘If you find Mondays more exciting than Fridays, you’ve reached the top 1%.’
There’s been some question about whether he actually went to Cambridge University, but Katie has defended him, saying she’s seen proof of his education there.
As someone who’s followed a lot of relationships, I’ve learned that trust is everything! I recently shared that I didn’t feel the need for a prenuptial agreement before marrying my husband – we moved quickly, but I have complete faith in our connection and commitment to each other. It really speaks to the strong foundation we’ve built!
