Kendrick Lamar made chart history by being the first rap artist to have three of his albums simultaneously placed within the top 10 on the Billboard 200 list.
In this week’s top 10 chart, he appears thrice, first on the top spot after his Super Bowl Half-time Show performance under the name GNX. Dot’s recent studio album climbs from the fourth position with a total of 236,000 equivalent album units, comprising 117,000 streaming equivalent album units (161.01 million on-demand streams), 116,000 in album sales, and 3,000 track equivalent album units. This is the second week that GNX has been at No. 1, marking its largest week since its debut at No. 1 in December 2024.
In a recent update, the albums “DAMN.” and “good kid, m.A.A.d city” have moved up from positions 29 and 27 respectively, now ranking at numbers 9 and 10. The former achieved this by earning 39,000 equivalent album units, while the latter earned 37,000. Notably, “DAMN.’s” last appearance in the top 10 was in March 2018, whereas “good kid, m.A.A.d city” last made the list in November 2012.
In other areas of the graph, SZA, who was a guest at Dot’s Super Bowl, climbs to second place. The Weeknd comes in third, followed by Bad Bunny in fourth and Chappell Roan in fifth. Rounding out the top half of this week’s top 10 are Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, and Morgan Wallen at sixth, seventh, and eighth positions respectively.
