Julia Roberts and Ayo Edebiri’s new movie finally confirms release date

I can hardly contain my excitement! Finally, the much-anticipated film by Luca Guadagnino, titled “After The Hunt“, has set its release date. Starring Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri, and Andrew Garfield, this movie promises to be a thrilling ride that I can’t wait to embark on as a gamer and a cinephile alike!

As reported by Variety, the psychological thriller is set to debut in a select number of U.S. cinemas on October 10, followed by a wider release on October 17. The release date for the UK has yet to be confirmed.

Following the Hunt, Roberts takes on the role of a college professor who faces a pivotal moment in both her personal and professional life when one of her promising students (Edebiri) makes an allegation against one of her peers (Garfield).

In the midst of her challenging circumstances, an old, hidden truth about her past seems poised to surface.

Additionally, joining the cast are Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny, both of whom have worked with director Luca Guadagnino in their previous projects – ‘Call Me By Your Name’ and ‘Bones and All’, respectively.

Following the initiation of pre-production for “After The Hunt” as early as July, Edebiri made it public through a post on her Instagram, where she shared a picture of the cast gathered for a table reading session.

Actress Edebiri, famous for her acclaimed portrayal of Sydney Adamu in the FX series “The Bear”, is set to make a chilling appearance in the upcoming horror film “Opus”. This spine-tingling movie is slated to hit US theaters this coming March.

The movie traces the journey of a budding author, who receives an enigmatic invitation to visit the isolated estate of a famed pop icon, who vanished without a trace three decades prior.

In the midst of a circle of people who blindly admire the star and are influenced by alcohol-fueled reporters, she quickly finds herself entangled in his devious scheme.

In addition to her roles, Edebiri will appear in the upcoming film “Ella McCay”. She’ll share screen time with Emma Mackey from “Sex Education”, Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, Albert Brooks, Kumail Nanjiani, Spike Fearn, and Jack Lowden, who is known for his work in “Slow Horses”.

After The Hunt will arrive in US cinemas on October 17. A UK release date is TBC.
