Rainbow Six Siege Reload brings the top R6 teams back to Rio de Jainero
In a couple of months, Rainbow Six Siege is set to introduce a new location, according to an announcement by Ubisoft on the second-to-last day of the Six Invitational 2025. It’s worth noting that Ubisoft has previously shared that the 2025 season will only feature one Major event, instead of the two from the preceding year. Here are some details about the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege major in 2025.
Rainbow Six Siege Reload – Rio De Janeiro
The upcoming major tournament for Rainbow Six Siege, scheduled for 2025, is officially known as Rainbow Six Siege Reload. Ubisoft has revealed the location but has kept quiet about specifics such as the tournament format. The event is slated to occur in the year 2025.
Ticket Sales go live on February 19
Ubisoft has accelerated ticket sales for Rainbow Six Siege Reload: they will be available starting February 19, 2025, a few days following the Six Invitational 2025 event, which takes place from May 16 to May 18, 2025. In simpler terms, you can grab your tickets for Rainbow Six Siege Reload earlier than anticipated, as early as February 19, 2025, just after the Six Invitational 2025, which is scheduled from May 16 to May 18, 2025.
2025’s Six Invitational concludes on February 16th, with the Grand Finals marking a battle for a portion of the $3 million prize pool. The victor of this global tournament will pocket an impressive $1 million, which is one-third of the total prize money. This year’s competition will be Rainbow Six Siege’s first international event since 2024’s Six Invitational.
2024’s Six Invitational was renowned for its buzzing audience and some of the most thrilling Rainbow Six Siege esports matches. The tournament culminated with w7m Esports being crowned champions, having beaten FaZe Clan 3-2. Regrettably, the previous year’s title holders have already been knocked out of this year’s Six Invitational 2025.
The upcoming event, known as The Major, will be held at Arena Carioca 1. Located in Barra da Tijuca’s western zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this indoor stadium spans over 38,000 square meters. Originally built for the Summer Olympics, it had a seating capacity of 16,000 spectators. Following the Olympics, the government reduced its capacity to accommodate 6,000 people.
