Pete Wicks Throws Shade at Maura on Valentine’s Day with Shocking Radio Show Announcement!
On Valentine’s Day, Pete Wicks delivered a firm statement towards Maura Higgins following the announcement of his upcoming collaboration with an erstwhile foe of his ex-girlfriend.
In just a few hours following news of his breakup with Maura, the podcaster, aged 37, publicly confirmed that he and Olivia Attwood, also 34 years old, will be hosting a fresh radio show named “The Sunday Roast” on Kiss radio.
Previously known TOWIE celebrity, Pete humorously commented: “I can’t fathom why they’ve given us the responsibility, but we’ll be airing our own show every Sunday from 2 to 5. We’re now a part of the Kiss family!
However, the news emerged at a challenging moment for Maura, aged 34, as she’s apparently had professional disagreements with Olivia regarding similar paths in their careers.

Last year, TopMob disclosed that the host of Bad Boyfriends believed Maura was attempting to mimic her professional accomplishments, as evidenced by her joining the same talent management agency.
Currently, Olivia is set to enjoy the last chuckle as she partners up with Pete for their upcoming radio program. Their inaugural live transmission is merely a few weeks off.
Olivia commented: “Since we’re figuring this out as we go along, please be patient, but expect plenty of laughter and good-natured teasing among us. Keeping it clean might prove challenging…
‘We signed the contract and clearly didn’t read it,’ Pete explained.
‘But it’s going to be good and we’re having loads of fun doing it.’
Two years prior to Maura’s debut on Love Island in 2019, Olivia expressed her annoyance on Instagram, suggesting that someone within the entertainment industry might be attempting to replicate her achievements.
‘Even if you bring back the exact same team, retell my tales as your own, learn from my strategies, and follow my methods to a T, it just won’t have the same flavor. That’s the long and short of it.’
In response, her emotional reaction occurred when she made an appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last year, which took place two years since Olivia had to withdraw from the show due to health issues after spending 24 hours in the Australian wilderness.
In response to the alleged dispute mentioned by TopMob earlier this year, Olivia emphasized that she focuses solely on her own professional path.
The ITV documentary creator stated, “I don’t see myself as competing with anyone. Instead, I am unyieldingly dedicated and persistent, a level of work ethic that others may strive for but ultimately will not surpass.
The confirmation that Pete and Olivia would be hosting their debut radio show on March 2 arrived after news broke about Pete’s separation from Maura.
It was revealed by TopMob that Pete and Maura parted ways after a number of disagreements, choosing to remain friends rather than continue their romantic relationship.
A source said: ‘Maura and Pete have decided to call off their romance.
‘There have been a few clashes, and it was eventually agreed they were better off as friends.
People who are most familiar with them understand that their relationship has had its ups and downs, making them hesitant to make it public initially.
‘They remain close and share a deep connection.’
For a long time, Pete and Maura were just good friends. But later on, they started dating without making it clear whether they were in a romantic relationship or not.
