LoL skin pairings for you and your duo this Valentine’s Day

What’s your favorite Valentine’s Day themed duo in League of Legends?

On this Valentine’s Day, why not celebrate it differently by spending the day with your beloved on Summoner’s Rift instead? Here are three enchanting skin combinations in League of Legends that you and your partner might enjoy playing together.

Best skin pairs in LoL for Valentine’s Day

This year, many of the Valentine’s Day-themed character skins in League of Legends, particularly the older ones, are typically labeled as legacy skins and not available regularly. But, good news! For a limited time only, League of Legends has made all Valentine’s Day skins accessible again, so if you’re interested, you can grab these special skins now.

Sweetheart Xayah and Rakan

Indeed, any of the Xayah and Rakan skin combinations would suffice in this instance, but to make things more exciting, consider purchasing their enchanting Sweetheart skins instead.

This pair seems perfectly suited for one another. Regardless of who you choose from this duo, their equipment provides distinct cues on when to swap positions, retreat, or attack. Both characters are remarkably elusive and challenging to restrain, particularly once Xayah reaches level 6. Rakan gains an extended range on his E – Battle Dance when he targets Xayah, allowing you to surprise enemies by closing the distance with E before engaging with W – Grand Entrance. In advanced gameplay, utilize their Passive – Lover’s Leap to manipulate tempo and linger in the lane a bit longer to disrupt the minion wave.

Heartthrob Caitlyn and Heartache Vi

Instead of going for the traditional pairing with the Arcane-inspired skins, you could opt for the Valentine’s Day themed ones as they perfectly capture the atmosphere. It’s worth mentioning that the skin for Vi that partners with Heartthrob Caitlyn is called Heartache, not to be mixed up with Heartbreaker Vi.

As a gamer, I can show off a bit, not just with the character I play, but also in-game. Though jungling is where I shine most, you might find it intriguing to give Vi a spin in the top lane. Opt for Hail of Blades as your keystone and focus on building critical damage. Time your attacks strategically with Vi’s Passive – Blast Shield cooldown. However, keep in mind that if you decide to play her top, there may be fewer interactions with my duo compared to when I’m in the jungle.

Caitlyn isn’t quite as flexible and she predominantly excels as a bot laner. If the situation allows, and if you believe the matchup won’t be too challenging, you could employ her considerable attack range in the mid lane. However, avoid picking her against Mel, or else you might find yourself in a predicament similar to Maddie’s.

Heartseeker Jinx and Yuumi

This set of champions is designed more for gameplay dynamics. Yuumi, on the other hand, makes a great choice for beginners because it minimizes the importance of positioning during gameplay. In contrast, Jinx currently ranks as one of the strongest AD carries and thrives when she has an enchanter continuously supporting her throughout the entire game.

This combination is quite simple to grasp. Yuumi consistently attempts to strike opponents using her Q – Prowling Projectile, while also tilting the battle in our favor with well-timed activations of E – Zoomies. On the other hand, Jinx focuses on hypercarry strategies, waiting for a chance to escalate and coordinating fights and trades based on her power surges.
