Daisy Thomas Swings into New Career: Hosting Golf Show on Channel Seven!

AFL standout Dale ‘Daisy’ Thomas is poised to broaden his professional horizons, venturing into a thrilling new position that delves into his secondary preferred sport.

As a hopelessly devoted Magpies’ enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement as I spill the beans about my upcoming TV gig! Yep, you heard it right – yours truly, a 37-year-old Collingwood premiership player, will be hosting my very own golf show on Channel Seven! Get ready to tune in for Teeing Off with Daisy Thomas – it’s going to be a hole in one!

Thomas shared with the Herald Sun that golf provided him with just the right level of competition, a aspect he felt was missing after his retirement from AFL.

My goal and aspirations for the event are to highlight some exceptional golfing locations and courses within Australia.

‘Hope that anyone watching gets the itch to put it in the golf group chat.’

Thomas participated in a golf event, specifically the Pro Am celebrity match, which took place at the LIV Golf tournament in Adelaide, where he played alongside Dylan Alcott.

Thomas remarked that viewers would likely find him struggling with missed shots, tossing golf clubs, using strong language, and occasionally hitting a decent shot amusing.

Come December, I found myself feeling a tinge of disappointment when I learned that a coveted hosting opportunity on Triple M had eluded me.

Or:
In the chilly month of December, I couldn’t help but express a sense of letdown upon learning that I missed out on an enticing hosting role at Triple M.

After Marty Sheargold left his position on the Melbourne breakfast shift in July, Daisy stepped into the role, working alongside Wil Anderson and Rosie Walton.

The group of three was assembled just a week before, following Marty’s sudden departure.

Instead, Daisy and Wil’s brief stint running the breakfast shift abruptly concluded when Mick Molloy, Titus O’Reily, Nick Riewoldt, and Rosie stepped in to take over the duties.

On Instagram, Daisy shared that he felt let down because the chance to extend his term wasn’t given.

However, he was quick to thank his radio colleagues and listeners.

He expressed his feelings by saying, “That’s done! I couldn’t feel more proud of what we managed to create in just a week, and it’s been an incredible experience to be part of the enchanting realm of morning radio broadcasting.

As a devoted follower, I must admit I felt a pang of disappointment upon learning I wouldn’t carry on next year. Yet, life has its ebbs and flows, and just like everyone else, come January 2020, I’ll be tuning in to Mick In The Mornings with eager anticipation.

He also offered a heartfelt thanks to everyone who worked on his show.

To everyone who works tirelessly off-stage, this production wouldn’t be the same without your contributions, however, I must especially express my gratitude to Jay for believing in us from the start and standing by our side until the very finish,” he expressed.

In November 2022, Thomas grabbed the spotlight when he shared with his followers via social media that he had proposed to his longtime partner, Natasha Bongiorno, by getting down on one knee.

The pair married in a star-studded wedding in February last year.

Previously a player for Carlton, he chose the scenic Lake House in Daylesford, a rural part of Victoria, as the spot to propose marriage.

In the year 2010, Thomas, who finished second on the show “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!”, is a father to a young girl named Tilly, who was born from a past relationship.
