Genshin Impact Yumemizuki Mizuki Guide: Kit Explained

Normal Attack: Pure Heart, Pure DreamsMizuki’s Normal Attack consists of up to three hits, all dealing with Anemo damage. Since she is a Catalyst user, all of her attacks are infused with Anemo by default, making her a reliable source of elemental applications.
Elemental Skill: Aisa Utamakura PilgrimageHer Elemental Skill allows her to enter the Dreamdrifter state, dealing periodic AoE Anemo damage. This state makes her highly mobile, as she continuously drifts forward and can adjust her movement as needed. While Dreamdrifter is active, she enhances Swirl damage for nearby teammates. Additionally, Dreamdrifter increases the pick-up range of Yumemi Style Special Snacks, which are generated by her Elemental Burst. .
Elemental Burst: Anraku Secret Spring TherapyHer Elemental Burst creates a powerful AoE Anemo attack that pulls in enemies and objects while summoning a Mini Baku companion. This creature follows the active character and periodically spawns Yumemi-style Special Snacks.

These Snacks serve two functions: if a character with more than 70% HP picks one up, it explodes and deals AoE Anemo damage. However, if the character’s HP is below 70%, the Snack heals them based on Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery.

Yumemizuki Mizuki’s Passives

Bright Moon’s Restless VoiceBright Moon’s Restless Voice extends Dreamdrifter’s duration whenever Mizuki triggers Swirl, rewarding players who actively use her to spread elemental reactions. This makes her particularly effective in reaction-heavy team compositions.
Thoughts by Day Bring Dreams by NightThoughts by Day Bring Dreams by Night boosts Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery when her allies trigger Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro reactions while she is in the Dreamdrifter state. This further increases her Swirl effectiveness and healing potential.
All Ailments BanishedAll Ailments Banished improves the effectiveness of healing food for the entire team, making her a useful addition for teams that frequently rely on consumable healing. This effect is even stronger for the Traveler, guaranteeing additional healing from food items.

Genshin Impact Yumemizuki Mizuki Build Guide: Constellations

In this section, we will break down the constellations for Yumemizuki Mizuki in Genshin Impact.

C1This constellation makes Mizuki an extremely powerful reaction amplifier, greatly boosting the damage output of Swirl reactions. If she is built with high Elemental Mastery, this can lead to devastating chain reactions, especially in teams that frequently trigger Swirl.
C2This constellation enhances her team buffing potential, making her an amazing support unit for reaction-based DPS characters. Since this buff scales with Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery, it further incentivizes building her for Swirl reactions rather than raw attack stats.
C3Elemental skill increased by 3 levels.
C4This makes Mizuki’s Elemental Burst much more efficient, reducing her Energy Recharge needs while also ensuring consistent healing and damage. It makes her an even better sustain-support hybrid, allowing her to keep up her healing while increasing Swirl uptime.
C5Elemental burst increased by 3 levels.
C6This is one of Mizuki’s strongest constellations. While she is in the Dreamdrifter state, all Swirl reactions caused by nearby party members can now CRIT, with a fixed CRIT Rate of 30% and CRIT DMG of 100%.

From a star-gazer’s perspective like myself, I must say that Mizuki Yumemizuki’s constellations hold a certain charm. If you’re primarily after a support healer, I’d recommend stopping at Constellation Level 1 or 2 as they offer the most significant benefits.

If you aim for greater damage output, then consider saving up for Constellation Level 6, it’s a potent but luxury upgrade. Here’s my suggested ranking of constellations from best to least best: C1 > C2 > C6 > C4 > C5 > C3. Enjoy the stargazing journey!

Best Team Comps for Yumemizuki Mizuki in Genshin Impact

Mizuki functions as an Anemo character on the battlefield, primarily specializing in initiating Swirl effects and subsequent chain reactions. This skillset makes her team compositions similar to those where Sucrose usually serves as the primary Anemo driver. Furina is one of Mizuki’s top allies and features prominently in many of her optimal teams.

Furina’s Hydro application on the field does not necessitate Normal Attacks, which makes her an ideal choice for the team. Moreover, the healing bonus from Furina’s Fanfare stacks enables Mizuki to heal beyond her maximum health by gathering snack spawns from her burst. One of Mizuki’s most powerful team configurations is the Electro-Charged (Taser) team, where she works alongside Furina, Fischl, and an additional Electro character such as Oor or On.

This team effectively uses Mizuki’s frequent application of the Swirl ability to disseminate both Electro and Hydro harm in an efficient manner. Additionally, Mizuki performs exceptionally well in teams that utilize the Aggravate mechanic. These teams include Mizuki paired with two off-field Electro characters, like Yae Miko and Fischl, who can initiate Aggravate on their own. Mizuki’s Electro Swirls serve to intensify this damage output.

Instead of using an Electro unit, Mizuki could also join a Hyperbloom team. This is because her Electro Swirls can strike Dendro Cores, making a Mizuki with high Elemental Mastery capable of producing high-damage Hyperbloom reactions.

For Mizuki, an innovative team setup is a “Flame-Igniting team,” where her role is to consistently create Pyro Swirls to sustain the Burning reaction. In this configuration, Mizuki employs a full Elemental Mastery build to inflict significant Pyro Swirl damage and prolong the Burning effect for characters like Emilia. These teams aim to set off multiple elemental reactions at once, with Mizuki serving as the main Swirl instigator on the battlefield.

Final Thoughts

Mizuki performs exceptionally well as an Anemo character on the battlefield, particularly in situations that require Area of Effect (AOE) abilities, where her Swirl and Swirl boost capabilities truly shine. Yet, her main asset – needing to stay on the field for her skill – also turns out to be a disadvantage, as it leaves her lacking in off-field utility and underperforming in single-target engagements, which are prevalent in high-level content such as the Spiral Abyss.

Although Mizuki excels in intense skirmishes involving mobs, such encounters may not frequently appear in upcoming Abyss phases. Regardless, Mizuki stands as a reliable top-tier five-star character, providing a satisfying gameplay experience and robust team support, much like Sucrose, but with her own distinctive approach to play.

In essence, although Mizuki might not be an essential character to summon, her Swirl-oriented gameplay, powerful constellations, and possible acquisition through the Standard Banner and future selectors make her a sound long-term option. She may not outshine the versatility of Jean or Tighnari, but she excels in her specific role. For those who appreciate area-of-effect reaction-based combat or simply admire her design, Mizuki can be an entertaining and efficient addition to their team.
