Teddi Mellencamp, ‘RHOBH’ alum, has urgent brain surgery after multiple-tumor diagnosis

On Wednesday, Teddi Mellencamp had her schedule set for brain surgery, following a discovery just a day earlier that her recurring headaches were due to several brain tumors.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been battling some extremely painful and disabling headaches. Yesterday, the pain became so intense that I needed to go to the hospital. This was the message shared by the long-time star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (who is also John Mellencamp’s daughter) on her Instagram account yesterday.

Following both a CT scan and an MRI examination, the doctors identified several brain growths that they suspect have been developing over the past six months.

In November, Teddi, who recently filed for divorce from her second husband Edwin Arroyave, shared Instagram stories of herself getting her hair shaved off in the hospital. Later on, she told her brother Hud Mellencamp that her fresh new look, similar to his closely cropped hairstyle, was giving him a tough competition.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, I find myself compelled to share the news that my beloved mother, renowned jewelry designer Lynn Bann, passed away on Monday. Her spirit was as radiant and captivating as the exquisite pieces she created, and her impact can be felt in every corner of the world, especially on Netflix’s ‘Bling Empire: New York.’ In a moment that speaks volumes about our deep bond, my heart swells with the words I often heard from her, “I love you more than life itself.

Hud reposted the video with a note indicating he would “get her faded up” when she was ready.

Teddi Mellencamp’s last video before being admitted to the OR was filled with loved ones gathered in her hospital room. Before heading off, she expressed gratitude towards her family, friends, and medical team – the doctors, nurses, and surgeons – for their tireless efforts in attempting to aid her recovery.

She clarified that two of the growths would be taken out through surgery today, while the smaller ones would be treated with radiation at a later time.

Last summer, she confirmed her arrival with a post about the removal of a few newly detected melanoma spots. At that time, she expressed on social media her heightened apprehension due to feeling something unusual in her neck and back, as she hadn’t experienced such sensations previously.

In 2022, Mellencamp was initially diagnosed with skin cancer. From 2017 to 2020, she was a regular cast member on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and for several seasons afterward, she made guest appearances. She also appeared as a guest star on “The Real Housewives of Orange County” in a few episodes.
