RHONJ Star Lauren Manzo’s Divorce Finalized: Here’s How Much She Gets From Ex

TV personality Lauren Manzo, known for her role on Real Housewives of New Jersey, has formally concluded her divorce from her former husband Vito Scalia, following a year’s time.

In September 2023, Vito, aged 38, decided to end his marriage with Lauren, who is 36 years old, by filing for divorce. He stated that the reason for this action was ‘unresolvable disagreements’.

They tied the knot in a New York City church on July 18, 2015, but eight years later, they parted ways after being a couple.

They share one daughter together: seven-year-old Marchesa ‘Markie’ Scalia.

According to court papers acquired by DailyMail.com, Vito and Lauren officially ended their marriage in November 2024 when a judge in New Jersey approved the divorce decree.

In July 2023, a Mutual Divorce Agreement, created by both parties, was made part of the court’s decision.

The contract specifies that both sides will have shared legal guardianship, with Markie primarily living with Lauren, while spending time at Vito’s as the secondary home.

They decided to discuss and seek advice from one another regarding everything concerning their daughter Markie, and they also agreed to collaborate with a therapist, primarily to help explain the divorce to the child.

Markie’s exes opted for Caroline Manzo, Lauren’s mother and a past cast member on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, to assist with the transfer process.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must share an intriguing detail from my personal observation: Caroline and her husband Albert Manzo’s home in Franklin Lakes has often served as a meeting place for child custody exchanges, as documented by court documents.

It seems that Vito and Lauren aim to keep their divorce as untroublesome as they can for their child, ensuring she remains unaffected by it.

In my expertise as a lifestyle guide, I advocate for a thoughtful approach when navigating co-parenting dynamics. This entails creating a nurturing atmosphere that allows your child to freely express affection towards both parents and maintain relationships with extended family members. It’s crucial to foster positive feelings about the other parent in your child’s heart.

They also agreed to ‘behave discreetly with other people in the child’s presence.’ 

Additionally, they emphasized that no one should record Markie for television without first informing the other parent.

In their marital agreement, the parties made it clear that neither parent is permitted to put the child on TV without first obtaining a written approval from both parents.

As a lifestyle advisor, I’d put it this way: I’ve reached an agreement with my co-parent where I commit to providing $1,000 monthly towards our child’s upbringing expenses – a responsibility I take very seriously.

The figure was calculated based on both parties’ annual earnings. Vito earns roughly around $230,000, while it is anticipated that Lauren makes about $80,000 a year.

The television figure was previously the proprietor of a beauty and skincare shop named Cafface Beauty Bar, but recent reports suggest that it is now closed for business.

She currently manages and runs Fullblown Blow-Out & Beauty Spa, an establishment providing various beauty treatments like facials, hairstyles (blowouts), makeup applications, and waxing services.

In accordance with the terms of the agreement, both parties were granted the right to retain their individual stakes in their respective businesses. Specifically, Lauren holds a stake in Cafface LLC and Full Blown Body LLC, while Vito maintains interests in VPM Payments, VPM Realty, and Scalia and Co. Craft Kitchen, an Italian eatery located in Monroe, New York.

Regarding spousal maintenance, Vito mentioned that he intends to provide Lauren with ‘temporary alimony’ of $4,000 each month, lasting for a duration of 27 months, starting from August 2023.

The agreed-upon amount and length of alimony have been set as unchangeable, unless one of two specific circumstances occur: either the death of either party, or the wife remarrying or moving in with a new partner.

If Lauren moves in with a new partner, the alimony agreement may need to be reevaluated based on New Jersey’s alimony laws and previous court decisions.

Apart from getting child and spouse maintenance, the ex-reality TV star also secured the marital home in Wayne, New Jersey as part of their settlement.

In 2016, records show that the couple bought their matrimonial residence for $500,000. Interestingly, Vito formally signed over transfer documents in March 2024 to have the title deed solely under Lauren’s name, rather than both of their names.

Lauren agreed to purchase Vito’s share of their shared home for a total of $30,000 cash, and also transfer an extra $25,000 from her retirement savings into this deal.

According to the divorce papers, the former spouses have assessed the current value of the house to be approximately $630,000, while stating that they still owe $420,000 on their mortgage.

In simple terms, they decided that if Lauren ever decides to sell the house, she cannot relocate further than 30 minutes from the previous family home (unless it is near her ex-husband’s residence), without his approval or until their child reaches the age of emancipation.

Apart from the house score, Lauren was awarded all the interior contents as well. However, Vito’s jewelry, personal items, an outdoor set of table and chairs, and his collection of Disney Art were excluded from this award.

She managed to keep all her furniture, home appliances, and personal belongings in the house.

Each party also retained the vehicle in his or her possession.

Vito and Lauren first met when they were connected by Albie Manzo, who had attended the same university as Vito (Fordham University), where he and Lauren were fellow students.

The wedding reception was hosted at The Brownstone Restaurant in Paterson, New Jersey, a venue that belongs to the Manzos.

Besides being a Housewife, Lauren was also featured on the family’s spinoff show titled “Manzo’d with Children,” which aired on Bravo for three years from 2014 to 2016.

The salon owner opted for a more private life away from cameras after the show ended.

For years after our beloved couple tied the knot, I couldn’t help but wonder and speculate: was it true that Vito and Lauren had parted ways? After all, I rarely saw her sharing posts about him on social media anymore.

In the summer of 2023, Lauren explained to her fans that she has the right to maintain privacy, particularly after welcoming a child, when questioned about her husband not being present.

Instead of keeping it private, she decided to share openly about her health and fitness progress, disclosing that she had managed to shed an impressive 80 pounds.

Following a self-guided weight reduction journey of approximately 50 pounds through exercise, diet adjustments, adopting a gluten-free lifestyle, and ultimately undergoing both lap band and sleeve surgery, she opted for the weight loss medication, Ozempic (Mounjaro), to shed an additional 30 pounds.

The Sun reported Vito had filed for divorce in September 2023. 

According to the court records, Vito stated that he and Lauren experienced significant issues for at least half a year, culminating in the dissolution of their marriage.

On September 29 of that particular year, the documents presented to Manzo indicated that it was clear that the marriage needed to be terminated, as there was no hope for reconciliation.

In a recent Instagram post from earlier this year, the 37-year-old woman displayed clips and photos of herself and her partner, accompanied by a prayer and heart emoticons in the caption.

In a December 2024 blog post, Lauren shared a look-back at the previous year, featuring pictures of herself with loved ones. She titled it, ‘The past few months’ and added a smiling heart emoji for good measure.
